Lowest rates in NJ especially light iron. I had 720 pounds of light iron heard the weight and got paid for 700. Rahway 4 cents a pound Freehold 5 cents, South Plainfield 3 cents.

The facility was clean and the workers were friendly which helped since I never did this before. Had to get rid of a hot water heater and numerous odd pieces of metal from cleaning out my garage. No bulk pickup in Metuchen forced me to do this. Had to unload the SUV myself but I only needed to dump everything anywhere in the unloading zone. Took home lunch money to boot!

Anytime I've gone to federal metals&alloys its always in and out. Everyone there is friendly and they try and give you the best price for what you have. Never had any problems, good place to recycle.

Their staff gets five stars. Their usual guy that is on the small scale is friendly and accurate when it comes to the scale. Same with the guy that's always on the larger scale. Very friendly and accurate. The people in the office remember who you are and are very friendly. The reason there is one star missing is because there one guy that works there that Really should not be working with customers. They should put him in a machine separating material away from customers. Or maybe cleaning the toilets.
