Got in a hurry and went to the closest recycling... Didn't check current prices. I thought the total was a little light for 60lbs. checked other buyers 5 miles south. They were more than double what I got paid.So it just let me know that they thought they had a dumb woman and decided to pay me less. They didn't know.I've been dealing with scrap metal for fifty years and should have known to check em. Now I know go somewhere else. Just got in a hurry today... not worth arguing with them

They want to act like they're a big company and still pay you a lot less I went there and I've been going there at least twice a week and they want to complain about two pieces of wood on a piano harpsichord I thought I'd like to the brought the hole piano cuz I like to tell people "as long as it has metal will take it"after being told by one of the employees that it doesn't matter if I bring my scrap to them or not so I won't ever take my metal to them ever again and they want to act like a big company but they ain't going to pay like a big company is it's sad to see where the businesses are at nowadays than where they used to be. It's sad to see employees of a company say that they don't care about losing customers. If you're going to ask people to clean their metal and no trash then you need to pay better. Better watch the scales cuz they like to short people. So if you like getting paid less and do more than they are the one to go to. Aren't they a scrap yard/ recycling center I thought it was there job to clean and separate items...? Idk

It’s hit and miss depending on who is on the small scales. You don’t get to see the weight. There are 2 girls that work scales one sometimes works in office. They burn me every time. Brought stainless and they checked it as tin. Have taken hundreds of pounds of mud and high grade circuit boards rarely got more that 10 cents a pound. They took mother boards and graphics cards at low grade. Had the guy that runs the place give me dirty motor price for clean electric motors. They have some really good people on staff, unfortunately a handful of people that are not good ruined the experience. No one like to be treated like they are in the wrong especially when they have done nothing to deserve that treatment. Getting condescending looks from the girl on the scale while the other argues with me about what I have the tells me to take it back because she doesn’t know what it is. Lost about $20 taking to them last time. When you go there weekly sometimes driving an hour to get there it adds up. It’s my only income.
