before the buyout there were no issues and we enjoyed going to garden street. we would bring multiple cars in every week with no issues. the staff was friendly and payout prices were fair. since the buyout, the staff has been incredibly rude. we took a car this morning (a hybrid sonata) went through the scale, unloaded it, and weighed out. during the weigh out we were then told they couldn’t accept it since it was a hybrid. when going back to reload it, the man on the loader left it with a wheel hanging off of the trailer and had to be asked to fix it otherwise it would've been left like that. if they weren’t going to accept it, they should have said that from the start rather then wasting everyones time and being rude/unprofessional throughout the process. we will happily be taking our business elsewhere.

Been a while since I had to take scrap metal in, and am used to dealing with Cohen. Local one is permanently closed, and the nearest one was about the same distance from me as River Metal. After reading some reviews, went to River, and am glad I did. The process was easier and more organized, and better posted. The fellow who directed me in was friendly and explained the process extremely well. Always nice to see a well run and efficient business like this!! Thanks!

It's a good clean place to sell scrap. I have done business there for years. But good luck trying to get through on the phone within a half hour of closing. I don't think it used to be that way before the buyout.
