Broke down on the side of hwy 95, an hour from home, with 3 dogs, and 4 cats. I called garwwod wrecking. I wasn't to far down the road from them. They sent their mechanic, he got me going good enough to get to their shop; they had what I needed and got me down the road in under 30 min. They saved my bacon, and made a few critters a little more happy. Thank you

I love coming here, but so inconsistent on price . I’ve got a bunch of odds and end small parts before for 25 bucks , killer deal but then went back and had 1 tiny part like a clip or something and some dvds from in a car like 3 and it was 10.00 . I could of went to a thrift store and paid 3-4 bucks . So guess it depends on staff on what they wanna charge. Staff always super nice and friendly though. Wish they closed at 5 not 4 it’s sucky .

Really? $100 for an 80's tailgate with a busted handle? If I wanted to get screwed, I can think of much better places to spend that money. If I were you, I wouldn't buy the rest of the positive reviews. I'd bet my life on the fact that the posters never been to a real salvage yard in their lives. I mean, do they even have a record of their inventory? The first time that I called and they couldn't tell me whether whether they had something that would work, I just figured that I was speaking to someone particularly new or slow. But even after the second time I called and the exact same thing happened, I thought that it was still worth a trip to go down and look around. I mean, look at all those positive reviews! But who knows. Maybe they only scalp you only on the tailgates. Perhaps that's the reason that there's so many random ones right next to the front door of the office. In any case, I would recommend that you save your time and money and look elsewhere

So far so good, just made my first visit there today and it was pretty straightforward, no BS. Walked up to the office, told em what I was looking for and they told me where to look for what I was in search of, and wound up venturing off around the whole yard looking at the old cars. No hassle about looking around and they let you do your business. Also, no charge to get in, which I hope doesn't change because they very well could charge an arbitrary fee but didn't, so that was really nice to see.
