The guys (both in the office and in the yard) at Green Box were so helpful and pleasant to work with. They helped me unload some very heavy steel and cast iron and they waited while I got a second load before they closed the gates. Their service was great! I'm so grateful for all their help and kindness

Bought some pipe. Called to confirm the price was the same as we needed more, which they said it was. When we got there, the price was $125 more. Bad business....

I had a pretty poor experience. I towed my car outside the lot, and went inside to hand over the title and get set up to sell. Before arriving, Every few weeks I would call and check prices and see if they were still open for covid. Each time they told me my car would be bought for $150.00 . Anyway, I went to tow the car in (I couldn't have been gone more than a minute or two), and they had moved another customer where we needed to go. Poor foresight. After waiting for that, we weighed our car and went in to do the final paperwork. The employee handed me the title for someone elses car, and when I corrected, then we used my title and he gave me cash and a receipt for $44.50. Really..? How do you drop $100 from what I was told on the phone a few days ago? After I mentioned this, they raised it to $68 ish. If I knew this was what I was getting into, I wouldn't have come at all.My car was in good condition, had the catalytic converter, and if it was running would have been worth around $800. I do not recommend this lot.For the record, everyone I interacted with was very polite, especially the line-workers.

They have moved spots from the last time I went, its a pretty fast process you pull onto the weight scale. They weigh your vehicle, you then empty the items out of your truck, then you pull back around to weigh your car again. Then you just go in with your ID and they pay you. Very simple!

My friend and I decided that instead of dumping our scrap metal at the dump we would try taking it to Green Box. We were treated terribly throughout the entire process. First we tried calling the business and was hung up on four times before deciding to just show up.Once we got there we were taken care of relatively quickly and unloaded our stuff. We told the receptionist that we'd like to do two different transactions and she said that wouldn't be a problem. As soon as we went back to the scale a second time, a man came out to us saying that the receptionist wasn't going to do two different transactions for us, that it wasn't their job, and that we in fact owed them money. After being sworn at and treated terribly by the man, we unloaded the rest of our stuff and just accepted the one receipt. After the whole ordeal, we checked the receipt and it rung up as 200 pounds which we were well over. Do not waste your time at this poor excuse of a business. Driving out to salt lake to dump your scrap would be a better use of your time.

Posting for Marty & Dave Wallace (my parents who need to embrace the tech age <3 )"Fabulous service! James walked the entire property with us, pointing out where we could find different items that we might be interested in. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. Jennifer in the main office was very helpful and friendly as well.We will always come here first when we need something - everybody should be thinking about recycling! As a bonus, we were able to have our items delivered. We can't speak highly enough of James, Jennifer, and Green Box Recycling!"

Don't plan on showing up late cause no one will help you at all to buy items that they are selling. While 2 guys sit around and do nothing 15 min before closing everything is locked up.Called before I returned the next day and arranged to get the item I wanted. Much better way to work. Walked in and was helped right away to get the item.

Saved myself time, gas and the headache of traffic by going to green box instead of Salt lake. staff was quick and friendly. They got me in and out and paid within minutes. I would definitely recommend Green Box Recycling.

Sold me a motor for my CNG Civic. Needed repair on inception which Brandon was all about helping me pay for repair rather then sending back at his cost. Made repair and motor still ONLY LASTED 2400 MILES. Then in which he decided to inform me I was past the 45 Day window for any warranty. THE REPAIRS OF MOTOR UPON RECEPTION TOOK ALMOST $% DAYS. Joke of a business I will never refer anyone and hope you think twice before using this garbage of a place.

Do not use this company. The service here is terrible. I called four times and was either hung up on or was not answered. When I actually dropped off my metal, I was sworn and snapped at. They treated us like idiots and did not answer our questions. It is worth driving the extra miles into Salt Lake for better service.
