I came to Redwood Recycling as it was convenient to where I was in the valley…I should have drove the extra few miles to Wasatch Metals. Redwood has NO clear signs and employees just point to general areas for drop off. Their website says that “customers come first” which was not my experience. Lastly, Wasatch Metals pays more for scrap…almost double!

First off I had no clue how this company works. I was told an address to go recycle my goods. The lady working the counter helped and gave me directions. Next it was a young man/worker named (Robert) he was very professional and kind. Most of all very patient and answered every dumb question I had. I thank you for that Robert. Seems like people aren't as patient with us older folks any more, in this case it was opposite. If this company was smart they will keep this young man around for a long time. Thanks Robert for helping me and for me not regretting the experience. I will recommend to all family and friends. Just ask for Robert.

This is the cleanest and most organized recycling center I've ever been to. The workers are very good and polite. Robert helped me unload. He was very pleasant and professional. The office lady was a joy and gave my son a bag of goldfish crackers. Definitely recommend this recycling center to any and everyone.

I've never recycled anywhere else and I never would, these guys will dig out your shiny copper so you get paid the most for it, office lady's are always extremely welcoming. Highly recommend

Lulu is always an absolute joy to see when we go to the recycling center. She made my day today and always does when I speak with her. Couldn't have a cloudy day after leaving the recycling center. Amazing customer service!

the staff treat everyone as if they're garbage . I waited 15 min for anyone to even acknowledge that I was there and when someone saw fit to help they were rude and unfriendly as if I just woke them up from a nap or something wouldn't recommend to anyone they lowball ya on your metals and then are rude to boot

So, to be fair, the office employees are amazing. Outside of that..... This yard pays less than any other recycle yard in the valley. The kid that weighs in my delivery is either incompetent or an outright thief. Either way he should be retrained. he tries to weigh in transistors as electric motors, leaves off entire categories from the pay slip (seems intentional), and I have to argue with him constantly about material type and demand an acid test to prove brass and/or aluminum over die-cast material. Not to mention the fact that he keeps his scale calibrated at a negative number when tared.....damn near every time. I explain each time that is dishonest. He shrugs it off. I complained in the office to no avail. It is insulting and disappointing. Whether it is company policy or just that one employee doesn't make a difference to me. It is dishonest....bad business. Sad.

If you say you’re open until 2pm … don’t close all your gates at 1:45pm - I called and was told ‘we are taking time to take care of the last customers’ then put your hours as closing at 1:30pm. Really not a great way to run your junkyard. So you’re lame and should update the hours

Tried to take my catalytic converters in to be bought from these guys been told two different stories and now was told that the manager works whenever he wants so there’s really no defying time on when you can sell converters to them. This management sucks really need to do something about it.

Been coming for years , always Used to be really nice until what I experienced the other day... In ALL the years NOT ONCE was I informed to separate certain cans , UNTIL yesterday... The bags I brought weighed 29 LBS in all , majority being aluminum cans , but the attendant wanted to GUESS and put I had 20 LBS aluminum 9 LBS steal .. I feel this was unfair and he should have either GUESSED less, more like 25/4 , OR had just said something like ' this time we'll weigh all as aluminum but know from here on out we need these separated this way ' ....

They were awful! Staff was extremely ignorant and rude. We showed up at 1:50 when google said they close at 2. The man at the gate said they close 20 minutes before 2. Which would have been fine, but my boyfriend was on the phone with one of the workers at the front desk who said they CLOSE AT 2! So I told the man at the gate that the lady just said you close at 2 and he then called her on the walkie and she told him to let us in. So we get in and take the recycling in, and the lady at the desk said we needed to be there 30 minutes early next time. She was extremely rude and the man at the gate had told her we weren’t nice… I was extremely polite, just told him his other co worker just said we could get in. She was awful, and rude. She said she was trying to defuse the situation while also telling us her co worker said we weren’t nice. She also said a bunch of other ridiculous things not worth mentioning. Regardless, if you actually go to the website it say’s underneath their hours that you need to come 15 minutes early , the idiot at the front gate said 20 minutes, and the nasty lady at the front desk said 30 minutes. Get your employees on the same page, and give them some customer training.

Best place to recycle. Any metal you no longer need. Their prices are the best in town and once a year they do a customer appreciation where their prices are upped. Even from that. Everyone here is extremely pleasant and helpful. I've never had a bad experience here and I've been coming here for years.

A gentleman by the name of Justin that was working in inside the warehouse help unloading trucks of copper and metal and wire treated me very ignorant and rude and basically demanded that I separate my stuff and all the years I have been going there I have never been treated like that from one of their employees the office personnel and the two gentlemen out in the yard directing trucks were very pleasant and cordial but dealing with this one person Justin did not make my experience that day very good the young gentleman that was there also helping was very polite and explaining things but this Justin did not

Been coming here for a couple months now and at first I was skeptical of the staff, but the more you get to know them you realize how hard of workers they are! The ladies at the front window are great to work with and my experience with this location improves each and every time I go. Be wary of the naysayers who place a one-star review as they were likely desperate in their own endeavors when they placed their reviews and are likely just as desperate in their personal endeavors.
