This was hands down my best experience with an auto repair shop ever! I was on a road trip coming from Florida and I was having issues with the manual transmission in my 93 Civic leaking oil while passing through Kankakee IL. Having changed the front axles before the trip, it turns out I nicked the oil seal in the transaxle while installing the new axles. Having been on a very tight college kid budget, I couldn't afford much in the way of repairs. I managed to find the one specific part I needed at a local Honda dealership and I called Stevenson Auto to ask if they could simply take my provided part and install it. We were only passing through so we couldn't afford to stay in town very long either. They saw me that same morning that I called and had me in and out in an hour or so and for a very affordable price. They were incredibly friendly and respectful. Having done most of the work myself on my car, they were happy to explain and show everything they did in great detail. They were by far some of the most professional and competent mechanics I've every encountered. My encounter with them was in June of 2016, and since then I've received a thank you note and a Christmas card from them! Thank you Stevenson Auto Repair for being so thoughtful and professional, and thank you for helping us get this little 93 Civic through all 8,000 miles of our American road trip! Couldn't have done it without you!

Out of state driver who unfortunately broke down on I 57 on a weekend. Vehicle was towed to Stevenson Auto. Came highly recommended by 3 different people. Contacted Amy at garage office just by luck at 7:00 a.m. and explained my situation. She was very helpful and polite. Garage opened at 7:30 and by 9:30 a.m. I was contacted by Dana(service manager) the car was repaired. She was very thorough concerning what they did and the billing. They understood my predicament and even sent a car to pick me up at hotel. This place is absolutely awesome! I called to have a pre-purchase inspection done on a used car I was looking at (I am not from the area) and they were able to squeeze me in ASAP. They thoroughly looked the vehicle over and showed all the paperwork proper. Most PPI inspections have run me $150 or so but Stevenson did it for less than half. They even sent me a thank you card in the mail a few weeks later. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

My worst morning turned into the BEST!! I am not from the area when I got a flat tire early in the morning. I was lucky enough to find Stevenson Auto Repair. My tire was fixed and I was on my way within 15 minutes. The price was fair when they could have charged much more.Best customer service. The staff was friendlyand professional. They had personal touch. After they changed the tire they asked me to stop at the shop so they could check the spare tire's air level. They could have easily sent me on my way. I was extremely satisfied with their concern for my safety.Happy I met the staff at Stevenson Auto Repair. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

I have came here twice with my mustang, Im very picky with who I have work on my car, but they do an exceptional job on any task. They recently replaced a clutch, put on rear upper and lower control arms, long tube headers, and wired a tachometer for me. Stevenson's is about the only shop I trust with my car, and they do an excellent job. Would recommend them for anything. Good prices, great service!
