FOR TRUCKERS: Friendly people but loading area is littered with metal. Of course this is a scrap yard but at least clean up the dock area. Found a nail and screw in my tires while getting loaded. Getting loaded 2hrs and counting. Best to avoid this place

As a trucker it’s hard to back in 53 foot trailer specially with a sleeper. 90 degrees on the street and gotta have someone to stop traffic. It’s chaotic but the people are nice tho

A little chaotic but I’d say most scrap yards are. Called them and got a good price over the phone then came in and my price was honored. Weighted most of everything in front of me and then weighted my barrels after we emptied them. Walked out satisfied. Didn’t sense any nastiness or rudeness from the guy working the scale and handing out the money as implied in other reviews.

Two best characteristic for those people: Unfair: they offer you a price over the phone but when you reach there, they change it knowing it would be difficult to go back with the scrapped metal and Rude: they are not professional. The big guy that takes the metal and give the money talks to people however he like. I think those 3 reviews that they have are from internal members

Ok, I'm going to break it down for the bad comment fokes. I am a happy frequent customer and can tell you the short n skinny. If you have a little amount of different things IE 2 lbs Bare Bright, 1 lbs #2, some #1 Don't expect to get paid the 3 separate prices listed on the inet. If u have a decent amount of 1 thing ur all set. Never been ripped off even without a print out

Quick in and out. I really didn't care about how much I was going to get paid, I was just glad that I got rid of the scrap metal.

Never show up at the end of the day (4:15pm). Chaos and tension. First time and last time customer. No direction on where to go, wasted at least 20 mins before refusing to sort pc scrap. They took the wires, weighed them and tossed them aside without a printed itemized receipt and without me watching. Tossed some cash at me and that was it. Most likely took my #2 copper for low grade extension cords...

Small lot but great service and price. 6 dollar minimum for 10ibs+ and 10 buck for all batteries. The earlier you go the better.

There are scap yards, and then there is Alderman Dow. My grandfather and his brothers brought their scrap here for decades, and my father and I have continued to do business with Alderman Dow through the years as well. These guys know the scrap business top to bottom and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Recycle or die! Words to live by...

Got there with a bad hip and the man in charge told a worker to help me. He did with a good attitude and a smile. Never saw that type of service in a scrap yard. Thank you. See you soon
