I have to give them 1 star because it is the minimum, but they don't even deserve one. I bought some seats online, from current stock. I was assured by the sales person that the one pictured were the ones I was getting. After driving 8 hours to pick them up for my surprise they were destroyed!!! The car was listed as a new arrival but pictures were from 4 years ago and never updated. I told them we were coming form Florida to make sure they were good but they could care less. Well, to say the least they are not to be trusted.

My shop called for an AC line for an Audi. Short story is we received the correct line for a reasonable price and it was delivered. Thank you for your service Salvage Auto Supply. Admittedly it did take a few phone calls and some hold time to get the line. There was a mix up and they pulled the wrong lines from the vehicle. But because I asked for a picture of the line to match up what we needed and because they were willing to go the extra mile and provide this picture, the correct line was pulled and delivered without any wasted trips by either of us. So as a business owner myself that has not made everyone happy over the years I will say that there can be a breakdown in communication by all parties involved at any given time. As long as we get better at our jobs because of these times and not worse or stay the same, then we all deserve second chances. Make apologies when due and strive to do better. Consumers please be aware that you have a part to play in how you are treated. Employees need to realize the consumer is their livelihood. Lets both come together and make it a pleasant experience and lives will flourish because of it. Remember R E S P E C T one another. Peace out!!

I wish I had noticed these reviews before wasting my time. Small business here. Took 2 calls for them to pick up. Filled out the cc auth form, placed my order, called back to confirm receipt and got no answer. Should've know then. This morning, after realizing the part still had not arrived, we called again. "The part was bent, so we never placed the order or sent the part." This was after telling us yesterday it was on the truck already and we'd receive it today. They're either lying or just inept. Don't have time to figure out which it is.

I called these guys a couple months ago, informing them of the part I needed and the cost. The sales person, Joe, was really nice and helpful. He went and found the exact part I needed and quoted me anywhere from 20$(for just the window control switch)-55$(for the whole door panel). A couple weeks later I send a colleague of mine to go pick up the switch for me. He comes back and tells me that they wont honor the price and they want 35$ for the part. Infuriated I called multiple times, the phone system must have issues or they just hang up on customers... I eventually got to speak with Fernando, and, I told him of the situation. He was quite foul and irritated to my issue. In the end, he agreed to sell the part for 30$, BUT, when my colleague returned with the receipt of the cash sale, the receipt totaled 32.18. This is not a good business to buy from, granted it is a salvage yard, however, there are better places.

I called this morning around 8:30am in regards to a part ASAP had listed on Car-Part for my wife's 2014 Altima. I was told the part was available. I went through the process to pay via the website & called back around 11am just to confirm paperwork was received. I was advised it was & someone would contact me shortly to send photos for me to verify the part before it is shipped. Just a few minutes ago I received a call finally & was told the part is not even there & the charge on my card was voided “so I should see my money back quickly”. I’ve now wasted a full day & am no further than I was when I started. I ran a salvage yard for years - it takes someone 5 minutes to check the vehicle initially & ensure the part is there.

Update (Response to owner): From all your other FAKE REVIEWS, you mean???? This is ridiculous! I drove 1.5 hours to pick up a part they said on the phone that they had. When I showed up, their story changed! They did not even have my transmission, waste of time and gas! Also, it looks like a bunch of fake reviews on here.... every 5 star reviewer also reviewed a moving company somewhere else in the country. Obviously something fishy going on with these good reviews because they did not earn them! How can you trust a company who buys fake reviews? Wish I saw this before I tried to buy from them...

Do not go here for anything. The workers are only there for a paycheck, they play and annoy the customers and don't take what they do seriously. Understand they sell poor parts and don't stand to their warranty. Over the phone they claim the parts are ready but upon arrival, they hit you with a "3 hour wait for the part to be pulled", plus you have to pay in advanced in for them to consider you. OBVIOUSLY they take the money and run, waste your valuable time, then you sell junk afterwords. I will never do business with Salvage Auto Supply again and would NOT recommend anybody to go here for ANYTHING.

I just left this place. The service was AMAZING. I was well greeted as soon as I walked in. Then they gave me a ride from the office to the yard where the car was. They had the exact part I needed. They were the only place that had it and at a great price. Then I asked how much they would charge to install it and they gave me an unbelievably amazing price for installation. On top of all of that the service was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Called 30 min ahead, They said they have it. Came in.... it didn't even take me 5 min and I got my part in excellent condition. It was a fuel pump, but looks like brand new and even with 30 days warranty! This is the place to get used parts around Charlotte.... I'm telling ya! Brought it to tech. He installed (slow guy) withing 2 hours. Boom! My truck is up and running again! This Guys are quick and as Promised!.... Recommended!!!

Very nice guys in my first and only experience... needed a few oddball parts for my Lexus. They went to the donor vehicles with me, helped me sort through the pile of stuff on top of what I needed and removed the required parts. Very knowledgeable and courteous staff. You do need to that the photos on the site are taken when the car first arrives so much of what's in the photo could be gone by the time you see it. The 4 parts I purchased cost me about 15% of what I'd have had to pay Lexus. Suggestion to the owners: Change your address in Google to where the retail sales office is. I'd have never found it without visiting the returns/deliveries side.

I was a little hesitant buying from them because of some of the reviews I read, but most people write reviews when things don’t go right and not when they go good. I bought an Ford Vulcan 3.0L engine from them that had 104K miles for a 2003 Taurus last Friday, they were very helpful in selling it and loading it. Me and my son installed the engine over the weekend and the engine runs very well and so far I am happy with the performance of the engine, I would definitely purchase from them again.

If I could go 0 stars I would. Called to verify the part they advertised as a "fuel tank assyembly" included the pump and sending unit. I was told "yes it does" 1.5 hours on the road one way and the counter person said no we don't sell it like that ....Didn't care that I was told one story on the phone and another in person. Complete waste of my time. I will never deal with this company again... I will pay more for used parts just to avoid them. I was glad to spent my $$$$ for the same part at another competing salvage yard that knows what they are doing and selling.

If you enjoy being mis-informed and lied to, then you will love this place. I very carefully specified the parts I needed, and "Bryan" assured me that he had them. After waiting several days, and making several phone calls wondering when I would get my parts, their driver showed up unannounced with some parts. Not the parts I needed, but some similar parts which would NOT work. After 10 more calls to correct the parts, I was told "I guess we don't have the parts you need". another 8 calls to get the wrong parts picked up, and weeks and another ten calls for a refund, I am still out the money. The incorrect parts were picked up on December 3rd. Today is the 29th. "Tony" the "manager" assures me at every call that I will see my refund "tomorrow", and that their driver will bring me a refund check. This has gone on for almost 4 weeks. This place is a circus of ass clowns, led by Tony, who couldn't "manage" to make a sandwich. Don't walk away, RUN!!!!

I have a body shop and have been in business for 40 years. I have called these people several times and I always get the same answer. 'Yes, we have the part.' Knowing that sometimes they could be wrong I ask them to make sure by putting their hands on it. Which is an industry-standard. That way we both know that the part is actually there and it is in good saleable quality. I am tired of driving there to find out they were wrong. They will however, apologize and say 'check with us again in the future.' Well, it won't happen again in my lifetime. They have no idea of good business practices and the importance of other people's time!

I called before I went there to see if they had the part I needed, and they said they had it all ready to go. I drove 30 minutes to get there, and it took forever just to find the entrance to the office behind a barbed wire fence. Once I found my way in, the employees were nice and helpful, which is the only reason I'm rating it two stars. The only problem is that after sitting there for 20 minutes, they tell me they can't find the part, and it must have been misplaced. They seem to have some inventory issues here, as they said the listing for the part hadn't been updated in months. They gave me a number for another parts place that may have what I needed, but they couldn't provide me the part I needed after telling me they could. After wasting over an hour of my time, plus the gas, plus having to go into the bad neighborhood where it's located, it's safe to say I won't be back here.

Great place, great value. I purchased a wheel rim for 75 % of what it would have cost any where else. Personable and friendly staff at the counter and they were very helpful. I was there for 10 minutes and my transaction was complete. I also inspected the item below purchasing.

ALERT....Don't waste your time with these clowns. Everyone of these posts below are spot on. I was looking for a complete part they said they had....calling one hour before going to purchase they still had the complete part. Upon arrival and asking for Fernando who I had spoken to on the phone confirming such, I told him I was here to pick up the complete part he told me an hour earlier he had upfront waiting for me. Wow I felt special, the special feeling lasted for less than 30 seconds when his boss informed him that someone came in the day before and bought two parts of the three components leaving only one remaining for purchase. Fernando was quick to let me know that he could find the remaining components that I was looking for but it would take a few days to get them and would costs significantly more. Stupid me purchased the one item and agreed for him to find me the other components but prior to purchasing the one item I asked him if I could return it for a full refund no questions asked and he said sure no problem within 15 days of your purchase and keep your receipt. I returned 10 days late to return the item and he told me they would not honor a refund and we continued to argue the point and he then agreed to refunding it charging me a 25% restocking fee. Complete waste of time, money and gas.

This place is a clean well run establishment! By far the biggest inventory around. I have dealt with every scrap yard in and around Charlotte. These guys are the most helpful by far. Everyone has a bad day, but the worst day here is better than the best at some other places! Keep up the good work guys! Alan

These are very bad people. They sell parts and refuse to honor the warranty they state. The real owner of this place is not from this country. He owns several related businesses and he runs scams between them. They state the mileage on the engines they sell but upon doing research the real mileage is a lot higher. This dishonesty starts and the top. Beware, they are out to take advantage of everyone they can.

I Only Put One Star JUST To EXPRESS MY EXPERIENCE. The Only Thing They Had Right Was The Part I Needed. Aside from that, they lacked what's most important when running a business...customer service skills! They charge regular price for used parts in which are sometimes faulty with no refunds. Their system with selling parts is unfair to customers as we are required to pay for parts in advance prior to viewing and accepting the condition. This is a used auto parts facility therefore ALL parts are not always quality. If you've already paid and yet still not satisfied with the part for whatever reason, they KEEP YOUR MONEY without exchange of store credit. 100% unethical! I purchased a mirror ignorant of how they operate and it took nearly two hours for them to distribute it! From a customers prospective We should recieve our purchased merchandise upon payment. They didn't have to Wait for payment, why should I have to wait extended amounts of time for my purchased merchandise? I have never paid before receiving a service except at a vending machine or online. This is an open facility operated by people. I feel it's a form of robbery!....You Pay For Merchandise To recieve it when they find a good time to distribute it. You recieve the merchandise and its faulty, not the right part, or even possibly damaged from the employee who removed it....You are entitled to NO REFUNDS. For customer service sake They definitely need a new system. Their system conveys selfishness as a company and only works in best interest of the company. Their system does NOT convey customer appriciation and its obvious their customers come LAST, though we are the FIRST ONES to bring this company revenue. I definitely would recommend pull-a-part over this company ANYDAY as they have a strategic method of customer satisfaction. Unfortunately the part I needed they didn't have in stock at the moment. These Mickeys Flickeys Are Complete BULL MANEUR!

As an auto repair service in CLT, I have tried to source parts from ASAP multiple times and been told parts were available and ready to go, only to drive all the way up N. Tryon and go in, and be told that they couldn't find them. This has happened 4 times, and I'm 100% done with them. Not to mention the times I've called and the phone has just rang and rang, no answer, no way to leave a message. Extremely unprofessional. The guys at S&R on Craighead Road are a much much better option.

My experience started out a little rocky but as soon as Fernando and the owner found out that I was not happy they did what was needed to meet my expectations and more. I purchased a full engine from them and now my truck is like new. I read some of the other reviews but I wonder if those guys expressed their dissatisfaction. I would definitely use Salvage Auto again.

I've been trying to get help with a part I bought, and they won't help me or stand by their guarantee/warranty, I've been trying to get the engine I bought to be refunded because it wasn't at all what was described. Wouldn't ever recommend them. They are awful!!! Isn't it also funny that they only respond to positive experiences because they don't care about fixing their mistakes.

As a preliminary feedback posting I am extremely leery of buying parts here. When I got someone on the phone, she was impatient to start and wouldn't even do a quick inventory check for me (for a warrantied part vs. an "as is" part of the same specs). I would think they'd want to sell the more costly part, but when she told me I would have to pay by phone, then drive an hour to the office to get a "yellow slip" (presumably a reciept) to take "next door" to pick up the part, the hair stood up on the back of my neck. I insisted on getting an address since I needed to know how far I would have to travel to get it, but even "as is" parts need to be inspected before purchase, or you might as well toss the money out the window. Then, when I tried to find a physical location or contact info on the website, I get nothing - not even the actual company name! - and then I feel like I really would have been stuck with my money in their hands and a part I never even got to actually see before I picked it up. Only by inputting the address was I able to find the real name, which isn't as they advertise, either. Not sure if I will buy what I need here or not, but they need to get rid of some of this shade if they want to do business in the open.

Worst place ever in my opinion and I've been in the car business for 20 years!!!!! Believe what you read. I've read the owners comments to previous complaints and he says call the manager. Don't bother drove 1.5 hours after calling twice to double check only to find out part not pulled, they don't know if it's the right color and we would have to pay first before they check after being told it was already on the shelf. Stay away in my opinion

Extremely disappointed. I ordered a transmission, got a quote, accepted the quote, called to double check every thing, sent a truck to get the transmision, 7 hours round trip. THEY DID NOT HAVE THE TRANSMISSION!!! They tell me they can get another one. $150 more. They should get the transmission, deliver it to me FREE for the original price. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Price was right but service is not good. Was told I would have to pay now and come back next day to pick up the part. Salvage auto supply called me and said the part was ready. I come back and after an hour they tell me they can't find the part. Waste of time. Edit: found the part but to add insult to injury they sold me the wrong part (sway bar from a different model, not the right diameter). Their listing was incorrect.
