I have struggled with whether or not I should leave a review, because a unique incident may be just that, or it may be a pattern of other poor business practices. Recently, I scrapped almost 94 pounds of high quality scrap bronze - when the worker labeled the receipt "yellow brass" instead of bronze. When I inquired they told me bronze and yellow brass are the same thing (while not a specialist, I know that not to be true in general) and I should just cash out. When inside the office, I shared my protest again and another employee came over with the same answer - but to appease me they took out some sort of device which allowed them to analyze the material and after about 15 minutes came back with the statement that in fact it is was high grade bronze and that the composition of the material allowed them to pay me more than the original receipt. I walked out the door with about $55 more in my pocked. Persistence pays off for the scrapper - be diligent and know what you are scrapping. I hope misidentifying metals scrapped is more of an aberration than a general practice. I would state that in general my experience as an occasional scrapper have generally in my opinion been fair, but this circumstance it paid off to have a bit more knowledge of what I was scrapping.

The yard is smaller than I expected, but the workers are very helpful and courteous. If you have a question, anyone working in the yard, even the machine operators, will help you. A busy place, but very efficient!
