Love this spot for just hanging out, letting the kid play, enjoying a coffee, and/or getting some food. Their event programming is also spectacular—full of unique and creative stuff. I really appreciate that they have good vegan food options. The artichoke panini is especially delicious, without the dairy cheese.

So much fun. My kids had a blast on the playground and in the little play area in the corner. The food we'd good, the coffee wasn't great to be honest. It's not too expensive and was so much fun!

A True Gem for Families! Junkyard Social Club has been an absolute treasure for our family! From the moment you step through the doors, it’s clear this place is built for creativity, play, and learning—all rolled into one. There’s never a dull moment, whether it’s an impromptu bubble fest, rolling tires down the slide (yes, that’s a thing!), or the kids teaming up to build forts out of recycled materials. The space is so unique—encouraging exploration, imagination, and hands-on fun. The science classes have been an incredible experience for our kids, blending education with excitement in ways that keep them coming back for more. The staff is welcoming, and there’s always something new and unexpected happening, which keeps things fresh and engaging. It’s not just a place to visit; it’s a community where both kids and parents feel like they belong. The WiFi and café make staying longer easy and comfortable—plus, the coffee is fantastic! If you’re looking for a place where your children can explore, create, and thrive, Junkyard Social Club is it. We can’t recommend it enough!

This place is fantastic for meeting others in the community, playing games, and learning skills in their clubs and offered activities! Reasonably prices and the playground is a huge plus, my kiddo loves the toys and books, and I enjoy the benches and seating area to relax for a bit (:

Junkyard social club has just expanded its hours and is now offering coffee and snacks. Also, there are adult beverages available in the afternoons and evenings and throughout the weekends. The playground is unbelievable. Kids can climb and tunnel and play with sand and water. There's an old VW bug, and an old school bus that they can play on and adventurous play is strongly encouraged. They also offer summer camps and day off camps. All of their camps and activities for kids. I have a hint towards science education and exploring. There are comfortable spaces to sit and chat, as well as fast Wi-Fi and places that you can plug a laptop in and work. Junkyard is really beginning to become a place to go and enjoy events for kids as well as for adults. Everything from comedy to storytelling, time, live music and much more. Check out their schedule online and check in frequently as there are lots of special events offered with partners as well.

Junkyard Social has become such an important and special place for our homeschooled fourth grader. Its outdoor play space has a treehouse, tables, a fort structure, and more. Indoors features a cafe, a reading nook, and even an upstairs room for games. This is a great space for parents to enjoy a coffee and let their kids be kids, while still being able to keep an eye out through the open garage-style doors (or windows, depending on weather) in case their kids need any help. The staff is consistently excellent, helpful, and friendly. I know many other people enjoy Junkyard Social for its evening events; for my family, daytime there is awesome!

Went for the open mic comedy. I had a glass of wine and my partner had the hard seltzer. This was the serving of wine for $12. It might as well have been served in a Dixie cup. If you go, stick to coffee I guess.

This is a creative oasis in a very unassuming place. Come here with your kids and have them run around the playground of junk. They will always find new and different things to do here. Come here with friends and listen to live music and sip lattes. Come here on a work day and take advantage of remote work in a trendy and inspiring location. Come here for birthday parties and watch as 20 four year olds find endless ways to stretch their mind. Come make treasured memories in a place full of junk.

Parents .if you bring your kids here PAY ATTENTION to what goes on outside and how your kid is behaving. Don't let your kid be a bully and then defend the bad behavior when you have been sitting inside all day NOT paying attention to your kid. There ARE parents like myself that have NO problem correcting bullying behavior when you are not doing YOUR job. We had a BIG issue with this today. Please explain to your child it's a place for ALL kids to use all the things. We thought we found a gem with this place but as it turns out it's a place where parents can and do ignore their kids and use it as a babysitter while doing something else. Ugh so sad!!!!

We've been coming to Junkyard almost weekly for almost a year now. Such a cool and welcoming space, and the staff is top notch! I feel compelled to leave a 5-star review to counter a 1-star review left by a woman named Amy Weber. Today Ms. Weber visited the Junkyard for the first time and became irrationally enraged at a little boy for putting away some blocks that her grandson was still playing with. Instead of resolving the matter calmly, Ms. Weber and her partner lashed out at the little boy, drove him to tears, and physically threatened the boy's parent. They left before staff or authorities could intervene. Thank goodness they will not be returning.

I came here for the new Swell Sundays alcohol-free dance party. I’m still kinda a kid, at 27 I still find myself loving this place and want nothing but good things for it all. I’m autistic and felt safe and comfortable there. Check this place out! - Demi

I'm so glad Boulder has a creative place like the Junkyard! I've been to a handful of events with bands, DJs, and an amazing NYE party. The staff is so nice and helpful and the coffee is strong (like I like it.) For the adult events they do have a bar (though there are sober adult events too.) If you like art spaces check this place out, you won't be sorry.

Wonderful time for my daughter's 5th birthday party! Perfect place to let kids run, play, be creative and have fun! The party room was perfect for snacks, cake and the birthday song then it was back out to play! Adults enjoyed the option to have coffee or cocktail! Loved our experience here!

Amazing place that’ offers so much. From kids play to EDM dances, art shows, magic shows, birthday party rentals and custom private events it’s a well conceived idea of a space. I perform magic there frequently but I’m also a customer who loves supporting this fun and sensory engaging place.

Incredible experience for kids of all ages! What a wonderful community hub. The Junkyard hosts classes, events and gatherings of all kinds, and supports communities of all styles. Their offerings range from daytime homeschool co-op education, to late night burner events for adults, and everything in between. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favor and stop by: you will be happy you did!!

Cool concept, poor execution. We took our 3-year-old to Junkyard Social on a Saturday. When you first enter, you are requested to sign the waiver then pay before entry. The initial vibe is super cool and the staff was very friendly. There is ample seating inside with some legos and toys for kids to play with. My main issue with this place was a hazard that I found outside, hence the 3-star review. There is a pink VW beetle that kids can sit in. When my daughter went in, I noticed the side panel had fallen off and was laying on the seat with three sharp exposed screws. If anyone would have sat on that seat, it wouldn't be a pretty sight. I would have alerted the staff but there was just one person running it and a line out the door due to a birthday party. So I took the screws out and threw them away. I get that the concept is to be a junkyard, and it certainly is. But, like, do all of the toys out there also need to be junk? Dirt scoops with no bottoms, broken dump trucks, rusted metal everywhere. At the end of the day, my kid had a good time, which is the main thing. But I left feeling like I paid $12 for her to play in dirt and around hazards like those exposed screws. Clearly, lots of people like it there, and that's awesome. It's just not for us. PS: Read the waiver carefully. If anyone's kid would have sat on those screws, you'd be SOL.

I was so excited to take my 2-year-old nephew to this place. I've been driving by it and seeing it on Instagram for a while. I have to say that while some of the play structures were neat, it was absolutely dead around 11:30 on a weekday. Because of that and the heat with very little shade out there, it kind of felt just like a really hot playground that we paid $12 to get into. We actually had to cut it short because my nephew just got overheated in the sun. If they had more shade out there that would be much better. I thought the $12 price plus the suggested $5 donation for each adult was pretty steep for what it was. We did enjoy our drinks, the Honey chai. I think I would give us place one more chance but perhaps for an event? Or maybe more into the fall when it's not so blazing hot.

I went to the junkyard social club for a fun down with the patriarchy event and I had such a good time! They had so many cool artists come and present poetry, music, and dances. They also had some great activities like smashing plates and a car and stuff. Loved every minute of it.

Such a fun place! Visiting family and spending the day in Boulder, we got our day started here. My 4yo son had a blast exploring and made fast friends with the other kids. Delicious coffee bar and great selection of healthy snacks for kids and adults alike. I wish I had something like this in my hometown! Lots of parents were able to set up and work while their kids had fun. Love how free flowing it is; really encourages kids to feel at home and make the space their own. Outside lots of structures to explore, plus crafts games and Legos, magna tiles, and more inside!

What a perfect place for a birthday party! There was plenty of room for 85 guests, a band, a bar and a photo booth. This was all held inside due to the cold weather! The staff was so easy to work with and our guests raved about the venue.

It's the coolest place in Boulder! You'll love it if you want something handmade and unique, not another designed-by-committee brand-new bar or restaurant. Their events also gather a community of kind, unique individuals.

My kid didn't want to leave! There were several structures around for exploring as well as hammocks and a swing set. Many places for adults to sit and socialize or eat. I had a delicious latte and we bought some snacks from the coffee bar as well as food from the food truck. I"m sure we'll be going back!

We met and connected with these folks after several community members said "why aren't you having you're meetups at JunkYard social?" So our nonprofit is excited to be hosting our monthly meetups here, they have a great friendly atmosphere, cafe with food and drinks, and are the weather gets warmer we're stoked to explore their space. Kid friendly.

There are so many hidden things in the Junkyard, even hidden tunnels under the stage! It is a great place to hang out with friends and catch up! It is also a great spot for social events and gatherings. There are many things to entertain kids as well as many spots for adults to chat.

I’ve been to Junkyard Social Club many times and have enjoyed it each time. Re munching: loved the panini’s and the cookies, the music (especially the jazz), the interaction with the artists, the great playground for my grandkids and really appreciate the friendliness of the staff and patrons. I definitely will be back.
