Was having a 2001 Chevy Blazer towed there and had made it known the car was for scrap. (Problems running body was in fair shape some rust at the bottom all the glass was there & hadn't been in any major accidents). I made the mistake of telling them I needed it gone that day or the city would impound it. Over the phone I was told it was okay that I got the tires & rims off of it. They did hold up that end of the bargain, HOWEVER when they finally got around to coming for it (at around 3:30pm which was as they had said "after lunch") the driver looked at it and told me that the best they could do was $50! By this point (about 3:45pm) it was far too late to get anyone else to come get the car that day, which is I'm sure why they waited until then to show up. So because they knew I was going to have to take their offer they dropped it from $150 (granted that was over the phone and I'd have understood if they had said because of the issues they could only do $100) down to $50. I could have had it taken to Joe's in Spring Lake and gotten more for it after paying a $90 towing bill! However because I needed it gone that day and they delayed until it was too late for me to go anywhere else they were able to totally screw me on what I should have gotten for the vehicle. Also I had asked if they could do $60, (what I'd have gotten from Joe's $150 less the $90 towing) and was told it was $50 or nothing. Seems very dishonest to me I will never do business with them again and suggest if you want a fair price you make sure to give yourself time to look for it without calling Mabrito's to get it.
