My husband and I go here pretty often for vehicle parts and to drop off scrap. We've never had a bad experience. The staff is very nice and helpful. Prices are reasonable and worth the visit.

So Ive been taking scrap metal to Paul's for about 12 years now,very familiar with everything there , customer service is not a priority on the non ferrous scale ,copper aluminum etc. Close at 430, well if your there with your stuff between 420-429 the door will be slammed in your face cause the gentleman who runs scale has to leave at 430 no exceptions and you will be treated rudely I gurantee it... customer service non existent, but let me not leave on a bad note I truly like this place have bought countless auto parts and have made tons of money scrapping over the years but the experience on small scale has happened to me countless times as well as many others I gurantee it and. A change in policy need to happen in regards to this rudeness

Ask you a ton of questions just to go in the you pull it yard. If it's wet out your screwed as it all mud, ruts and streams. Cars and trucks anywhere and every where. Chevy's with Dodge's and Ford's ect. Vehicles are on the ground. Have to jump over cars and trucks to get around in some area's. Saw no carts. No price sheets and prices vary for some reason. Don't know if any engines or transmissions are good. Other Paul's you know what your paying and no crazy prices.LKQ at least you know what your going to be charged and don't vary. Then cars are organized and up on stands. Though they have fees for everything including walking in the door.On the good side they have lots of cars and trucks most older models. No crazy core charges for misc parts only parts that are rebuildable like alternators, starters and engines. Best to go on days when it's not wet out or big boots.

It's a decent place to go for auto parts had an experience there tht started off bad but ended up good I went there for a used battery for my jeep grand Cherokee I had emailed the company first for prices and got an e.ail back for a price and the email I got back was not the right price I had emailed the south bend store but somehow got a reply back from the Merrillville store I only had a limited amount of money so when I got there I didn't have enough money for the battery the guy at the counter informed me the guy tht emailed me back didn't work at this location and each location has different prices on all there parts after talking to the guy for awhile and a few heated exchange of words the guy at the counter ended up give me the battery for a cheaper price then the email I had gotten and cheaper then the price of the shelf private of the battery so after I left I email the guy back explained to him what happen and told him he shouldn't be given quotes out that were wrong and especially for a location he doesn't even work at he informed me that he was some big league in the company and there shouldn't be different prices all there prices should be the same regardless of the location but all in all everything turned out good and I ended up getting a good battery for cheaper then I had expected and would recommend Paul auto yard for people searching for good quality used auto parts

called in advanced was was told there were 3 of the cars I was looking for. drove an hour and 15 minutes and was told the same information and was pointed in the direction I was looking for. after 45 minutes of not finding them went back up front and was assured they were there. after another hour of searching the cars weren't there. glad I wasted time and gas money won't be back

Ryan was extremely helpful from just the 1st call that was even made! He was very courteous efficient and just a pleasant man. The other workers were just as efficient and helpful to. Thank you! Passenger window on my car got broken. Called Paul's, they said they had 3-4 cars and 95% chance that at least one of them had the window I needed. Drove over, first car I found was correct. Took off the window, paid $25 + tax, came home, cleaned it up and replaced it. Good experience and friendly staff.

Today went better than yesterday it was a hot one and hard to find rims for hours I didn't understand the price difference in 20 plus year old rims. Thought they said on phone 25 ea plus 10 to pull them so any ways I went back and found 2 trucksTo buy 4 rimsWaiting for when they can get them pulled offShort staffed.Owner was nice today and helpfulFirst exp in a junk yardBuy 4 stars because they did good todayCommunication and service at counter was helpful.

Service wasn't bad. Paid higher then other local prices. I very rarely visit scrap or recycling centers. But it was quick and painless except for all the steel I had unload by hand.
