The folks here are consistently friendly and helpful. If you have much aluminum or stainless or copper or lead batteries you can get a lot more for them if you sort them out and unload them where they tell you to. Steel and mixed scrap that goes in the big pile doesn't bring a whole lot of $ but at least it gets recycled and is out of your garage and not in the landfill.

Hello All, if I could leave 10 stars, I would! These folks here at Razor Back Metals are all great people! I have been coming for years now. They are friendly, helpful, honest and they keep a clean yard. Today, when I came with a small trailer load, the back gate on my trailer had started to fall off. One of the owners and two workers came to my rescue. And, in no time I was safely back on the road. Love, love these guys!

Brought scrap with an aluminum rim and asked him about if aluminum rims were more money. He had me go take the rim back out of the pile of scrap and paid me more for the rim.

On the phone they said an alternator was 35 cents a pound. Drove all the way out for them to not even weigh it and only give me 35 cents. Waste of time and gas, will never be back

Doug and the crew have a great operation. The place is always neat clean and orderly. The process is easy, drive up on the scale for scrap steel, dump your scrap, reweigh and get paid. If you have non ferrous metals they are weighed in the building. Everyone is pleasant and glad to see you. Prices are definitely competitive and fluctuate up with the market. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I had an auto repair business for 35yrs. I'm experienced at selling scrap metal. I live closer to Razorback than there competitors, I thought I would give them a try. I had a pickup truck load of scrap metal and a old catalytic converter. after unloading the pickup. I went to payment counter, I asked the man if they buy converters. He said yes, I asked him how much he would give me. He says I need to take it to back of the building. So I took it to back of the building. A women took it, I asked her how much she was going to give me? She says, I needed to go back to office guy, then she took my converter to back of the building. I went to the office guy, he gives me a low ball check. I asked how much did you give me for the converter, he says $30. He never looked at my converter. I said WHAT he say "that's all it's worth" and walked away! You won't have an Honest experience!

First time at this scrap yard and it was very easy. Had a big sign by the scale to tell you what to do and both the staff members I dealt with were friendly and easy to do business with. Price seemed fair for the scrap steel I brought in. Always happy when I get money for cleaning up junk around the yard.

Razorback metals has an easy way to drop off metal. You just drive on the scale and then drive off, unload your junk and then get your money. Easy side hustle thanks to razorback metal.

Good price on copper and brass, not so much on scrap iron. Self unload. Overall process is pretty easy. Get weighed or haggle if the large scale is broken. Dump scrap iron in designated spot. Go to side garage door and have copper and brass weighed. Go to pay window. Get money. May have to wait for check by mail if high enough amount.

I go here because they pay in dollars and cents. There's another place near Whitmore Lake, a little closer to the farm, but their software rounds down (truncates) to the nearest dollar.

Good prices on scrap metal, but the person that weighed our aluminum was very rude. The experience was not worth the money. I know it’s a scrap metal yard, but that’s not really an excuse for such poor customer service.

I really wish they paid a bit more for the scrap I bring. They have one employee with serious attitude and anger problems.
