Edited to add: They called me the next week and said they should be able to help me after I get 3 quotes about fixing my car and send them a bit of information. So I’m feeling a bit better about them as a company. Just watch out for their trucks if they’re driving in front of you. The company itself seems kind and respectful. Hopefully may experience with their truck was just a fluke. Once they take care of fixing my car I’ll update my review to at least 4 stars for them taking responsibility and working to not have it happen to anyone else. I never leave reviews but I wasn’t sure what to do after trying to call them a few times without anyone speaking with me about the damage they caused to my car. The top of one of their trucks wasn’t closed properly and large metal debris was flying out all over the interstate. It was heavy pieces larger than hubcaps. Their truck had swerved into my lane to pass another car and some of their large metal debris hit my car and damaged it. Another car was in the other lane so I couldn’t fully swerve so debris partially hit my car, but if I hadn’t it was so large it would’ve destroyed my entire windshield. It was so scary and unsafe. After that I tried calling them but was transferred after explaining the situation, then hung up on. I tried calling back because the truck was still losing large metal debris and causing cars behind me to have to swerve all over the interstate, and was told to leave a voicemail. I’m not sure if this company is shady, but I don’t know what to think considering their lack of truck safety and that they didn’t even have a license plate on their truck. I took photos of the truck so hopefully the company can sort out who the driver was and why the truck wasn’t secured properly or stopping when it was obviously causing so much chaos on the road. I’d at least have liked an an apology and they haven’t even given me that.

Took a friend here so he could cash in some scrap copper. It was the type that was pure copper wire (a mix of some 00 gauge braided and 12-16 gauge solid) but had the insulation burned off and therefore was gray in color (carbon/copper oxides). It felt about like 35 lbs to me and he got $102 for it as of Sep 3, 2024. We went about 11 am and, unlike the previous times I've been there there was only one person in the drive-through and it only took him maybe 10 mins to cash in his ticket. So, the whole process took maybe 20 mins tops. Often, however, there IS a line, especially at the ticket cashing window and you can easily spend an hour or more here. The employees are kinda hit and miss. Most of the time they're nice, respectful and cordial but on occasion they're rude, disrespectful and impatient. Those are the reasons for 4⭐ instead of 5. Like another reviewer said I think some of them assume people coming here are thieves or just trying to get booze/drug money. And let's be real, many if not most are. But you should still treat each person with a certain level of decency and respect regardless of what you think their "lifestyle" is. We don't necessarily know what led each person into a particular way of life and really, if you believe in a purely deterministic universe, free will doesn't exist anyway ;) Hell, even if you believe in an omnipotent creator you still must concede that some cases of poor lifestyle choices are not the fault of the chooser. Bet you never expected to get this deep into philosophy on Google Reviews, did you? P. S. It did smell like ozone in the recycling area even with large openings to the outside air. Definitely more than in the outside ambient air. It's probably from the large electric motors in there and can't be great for the employees over long periods of time. Might be time to change those brushes (but these are probably 3-phase motors without brushes) or use better ventilation. Just trying to help...
