Such a great find. Except it said one of the cars i won at auction had a key.. It was a plastic key for the doors.. But overall easy experience. Takes WAY long picking up your vehicle if you don't come early.

We arrived 3 minutes before closing and the gentleman was able too get us 5 minutes to go out and look at a truck we were interested in purchasing. We really appreciated it, as the truck went up for auction at 11 am the next day. Time was a huge issue that day. Those few minutes gave us most of the information we needed. I just wish a crystal ball would have been included. Thankfully I knew going into it there are always chances something could go wrong. I will if the opportunity presents it’s self again purchase again through the dealer who assisted us as well as Copart.

Be aware , I have bought over 50 cars the past year , they will scam you by not describing the major damage , 10 cars ended up at the local Junk yard cause it was mechanical and undercarriage damage , last one says front end damage but No its mechanical with busted transmission , they take the worst pictures to hid the damage , it's very frustrating a big auction like copart scams people , specially utah location , make sure you check the cars you want before you buy it , I'm located out of state otherwise I would've checked it out in person

I gave my insurance State Farm permission to tow my vehicle to Co part after an accident. After spending the first 30m trying to locate my car, said they didn't have record of it. But I called earlier that day and was given a lot #. They removed 1/2 my personal item and have never found them. Some items were sentiment and non replaceable. Some missing items include prescription glasses, cds, floor mats and personalized license plate frame, plus my license plate. None of my personal belongings should have been touched. DO NOT trust co part!
- JJack Richardson
Not impressed. Very unprofessional staff. They lost our unexpired license plates and the car registration. When we requested those plates and registration, no one knew what had become of them. They promised to refund the cost of replacing the plates but NEVER upheld their promise. We have seen no compensation. And when our personal items were picked up they were rude and inconsiderate.

Please do not go to this yard. The others are all great, but this one is horrible. VERY unprofessional staff with bad attitudes, and not helpful at all. They also lied over the phone when we specifically asked if they loaded a certain vehicle. Which they in fact, did not. And the response was “well it’s not the person who you spoke with on the phone responsibility to know if we load or not”
- AAdam Ady
Buyer beware. The staff behind the counter were quick and courteous. When my car was delivered it neither ran nor drove. As soon as I let them know there was a problem I was handed off to Amanda, who not only couldn't help (company policy of non responsibility is very clear in these reviews) but clearly had no desire to as indicated by her loud and confrontational tone. When I reported the issue to the general manager David he said she was completely in the right. The hidden text on their terms of service are that they aren't responsible for anything, if it ran when it was dropped off but doesn't when you take possession... Too bad.

Very rude staff. My car was wrecked and they called to schedule a time to pick it up--as per the insurance. While talking to them, they were not helpful, were disrespectful, and were not cooperative with working with me towards finding a solution for picking up my car. It was very demanding, like I was being a burden, and the staff spoke like I was unintelligent while acting like I wouldn't understand. Very irritating and it definitely made a bad situation worse. If you have a choice, I wouldn't use them for their business.
- MMark Maddocks
Worst service ever. Charged me a late fee even though I had paperwork showing it was paid on time. Said I could pick up with proof of insurance. Then wouldn’t release to me because it wasn’t licensed. They told me on the phone all I needed was proof of insurance. Now the problem is that they don’t have title so I can get it registered and licensed. I had to get a tow truck to haul it out of their gates so I could drive it. They forklift driver was not careful at all. This was a clean titled truck. After going through Copart i don’t think it should be now. Very rude staff. BAD COMPANY!

I thought it would take forever to get to my wrecked car to pull my personal items. It took about 10 minutes from talking to front desk to pulling my car. Service was respectable and efficient. Wish I didn't have to be here because it means my car is wrecked, but it's all good...

I bought a car from the Salt Lake City yard and have had no communication from them about when my vehicle will be ready for pick up. I have called 3 times. The firts was Friday 12/4 and asked when I can pick it up. I was told Monday. I rescheduled my transportation for Monday. I called Monday when they opened and was told it will be there Tuesday. I called again Tuesday and was given another story of how it still wasn't there then told that she (agent on the phone) would contact James and have it moved Wednesday and, she would call me and or email me when it was ready. Neither happened so, I called today, now 12/9 and asked for a refund. A manager named Samantha got on the phone and started explaing THEIR INTERNAL ISSUES moving the vehicle and I said, "I don't care about your issues, I care about MY PROPERTY I PAID FOR" then she got nasty and said, "you don't care? Then this conversation is over, YOU ARE NOT GETTING A REFUND , SO COME AND GET YOUR CAR BEFORE WE START CHARGING YOU STORAGE!" I asked "is this how you want to deal with this"? She said "YES!" I said ok, I will call corporate and talk with them, have a great day.

The largest legalized running scam I have ever dealt with. Bought a car that said it was drives and running, clean title, and had keys. It took over an hour to get the poor service we got. No keys and they claim to not have ever had them (probably sold them for some extra cash) even though they are pictured and the car is pictured on/running. Then after paying a dealer to get them made we find out the engine was seized. Sold as is but not as advertised. Do business with decent people and not these guys. I will buy a bus pass before I buy a car from them again. Horrible in every way imaginable. You can find cheaper scrap heaps at a junkyard with much friendlier people.

They don't take care of your staff in your car! My glasses, cologne and even quarters coin was stolen. They don't lock your car for safety which means everyone can steal your things. And their efficiency is terrible because they always give lots of excuses. They told me 24~48 hours but they took 4 business days for towing! Stay away !!!
- KKate Beeson
Friendly and efficient. Find some of my stuff I'd thought was left in the car had gone missing by the time I got to Copart to retrieve everything but I can't blame Copart since the car went thru 3 or 4 places before my insurance company sent it there. Do have to say the safety vest they have you put on to go out to the car was a bit much. Bright and unflattering lol but overall a good experience.

I would put negative stars on this review but it makes me put at least one, which they are not deserving of. I am very disappointed with Copart. My car was totaled and was at a repair shop in Utah county. They were supposed to call me and have me meet them at the repair shop to get my personal belongings out of my car, hand over the title and get a check from them. They had a driver go pick my car up and I never received a call to meet them. They took my car without my permission. I called Copart to inform them and they told me that my car was now up on North Salt Lake and that I would have to drive up there to get my things and a check from them. I drove up there to get a check from them and get my belongings out of my car. When I got to the there, they let me check the car for my stuff and my car had been cleaned out and none of my belongings there. Super frustrating.
- HHaley Young
They swapped out my battery for an old one that doesn't work. When I received my car, it had to be jump started to turn it on every time. I also had a large dent on the side. I have pictures and warranties proving that they did this and they still wouldn't take responsibility! I will make sure everyone knows they are crooks.

I was late getting to their yard, after loading hours. They had mercy on my soul, and loaded me anyways. The loader operator , and 1 lady behind the desk, earned a solid 5 star review.

I would rate 0 Stars if it was possible. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Rude employees, rude forklift drivers, slower than cold tar, but they don't allow you to go in and get the car yourself. They wouldn't bring out my next car until after I had already hauled off the one they just brought out. I told them it would be gone in a few minutes and could I at least get in line to have the next one brought out. The forklift driver refused until the car was gone, then I got in the back of the line again and waited another hour and a half, and by the time they finally brought that one out it was closing time and they refused to bring out the last one. It almost seems they do everything they can to make it as difficult as possible to buy a car. It's not just the local location. Copart has more red tape than I've ever dealt with even in government offices. Everywhere I turn something is not allowed unless I jump through 8 more hoops, yet at Adesa and Manheim everything goes smooth as silk. Very little waiting and pleasant treatment. I'm looking into other insurance auctions. At Manheim and Adesa I'm treated like they truly are concerned about providing a good customer experience. At Copart they seem focused on providing the worst customer experience possible. So far it has not been worth the hassle.

Great opportunity, but extremely high fees, they will not let you drive the car off of their property. You have to have it towed. They are so understaffed, that they don't have time to let you preview cars unless they "can get to you" two car limit. They won't let you know if a car is consigned like the other coparts will. Luckily, I've been to a few coparts and know they are not always managed this way. Shout out to the Billings Montana Copart on their superior customer service.

I had question and the girl at the front desk was new. She did a great job find a solution to my problem. The rest of the staff was just not friendly. They all seemed a little checked out and over worked.
- TThe Car Store Sales and Leasing
Endless red tape. Rude people in the yard, plan on wasting a whole day getting 2 cars out because you can't even get in line to have your car brought out if your tow truck is 2 minutes away. Why? Because the car will take up too much space in the yard if they happen to get it before your truck arrives. They demand you wait until your truck is sitting there taking up twice as much space while they take a half hour or more to bring out your car. Makes no sense, but neither does any of 2 dozen other things they require or disallow. I would have never believed it if someone had told me. I had to go to copart and experience it
- DDain Lloyd
Overall unwillingness to get back to me. Would promise to "get back within 24 hours" or "before 3 PM" that same day and were 0/4 on these promises. Business is business and in the end, they make it apparent that what they care about is themselves, only thinking of the short-term gain.

I am a small dealer have bought about 50+ cars. The biggest complaint our industry and my fellow car flippers have is they toss the cars around like rag dolls! On numerous times the photos show only damage on one side. Once it is paid and delivered a yellow dent streak will be running all along to the quarter panel from their loaders brushing and being careless. Smashed corners and lights are common. Then the loaders damage the undercarriage so be prepared for unnecessary oil leaks and rocker panel damage. Never buy an expensive car from them!!! Stick with the cheapies. Met a man with $10k unnecessary damage on an exotic purchase! They also manipulate photographs with angles to entice you to buy. I bet if enough dealers band together we have grounds for a class action lawsuit. Employees steal expensive parts off the cars. The tow trucks hate picking up here because of the long wait and chaos. Just because cars show up with blood and brain juice all over the seats does not mean all the cars are trash. The workers treat them like trash letting snow come in with no tape or plastic. Occasionally you can make a score. Do not think your car is above undisclosed hail damage, a bad engine, insurance fraud, or their own dubious schill bidding. Runs and drives means it can move forward but by no means is road worthy. Finally the big secret nobody talks about is the money laundering and international bidders running up the prices. Many of these cars never make it to those countries. Your bidding against dubious other car entities. Good luck and get Smart!

Supper unprofessional caused thousands of dollars to MY PERSONAL vehicle would only pay pennies on the dollar to repair absolutely a scam operation that should be shut down. Also they deleted my original review. Be aware. Take your business somewhere else.
- TTony Volpi
They were awesome to work with. I have purchased several parts and motors from them over the years and I've never been dissapointed with any of my purchases or prices. Highly recommend

I bought a ATV at auction. They have strict pickup time frames otherwise charge 20 per day storage. They do NOT have the equipment or man power to get these vehicles loaded in a timely manner. Every week they have the same problems at the end of the auction customers want pick up what they purchased. They turn them away after waiting for hours only to come back the next day and wait again. If you buy anything plan on wasting 3 hours to pick up.
- JJim Burns
I ultimately waited 2 hours and then was rescheduled, I lost 3 hours in my day on a no-show. I got a call to pick up my car around 10:30, I requested 11 as the car was a half hour away and I had to do some things and the drive agreed. At 10:40, I called the driver and he said he would be there in 20 minutes. At 11:40 I called and did not get an answer. He called me back at 1:00 and said he had to take another request and it would be another hour, at least. I told him to cancel as he already wasted 3 hours of my day. I was annoyed and gave him a piece of my mind and he shifted the blame to dispatch saying , "I'm just the driver, I can't do anything about this." I talked to dispatch and they refused to take responsibility, saying it was the drivers fault.

My car got taken here after I was in an accident and my insurance decided to write it off. I went to get my personal things from my car and everything had been taken out and was just gone. They kept saying there were cameras and no one on staff would take my things but my insurance company has pictures of all my items in my car while sitting on their lot and now they are gone.

I had went to your north Salt Lake Facility to look at a vehicle that was going to be going on the auction. I was sent down by Car Bazaar of Salt Lake City. I was approached by a young girl who's desk is near the front counter area. She was Caucasian with short purple colored hair. She said what do we want? I had explained to her who I was and what company I'm with. She immidiatley got hostile, and said are you on the list?? I said we have a dealer number and a car lot. Also we were sent down by Sahir at Car Bazaar and I'm on the authorized list with the business to buy and evaluate vehicles. She called Sahir and confirmed what I was telling her. She was extremely rude and unprofessional! She was glaring at both of us while she was on the phone with our partner. We were not allowed to access through the gate and view the vehicle that we were going to bid on. We buy from iaai and Brashers, if we are going to be treated like this for bringing business your way, we would rather stay with companies who hire qualified staff that have people skills! I had told this young gal she should work on her attitude if she wanted to retain anymore customers! Other employees sat and watched this unfold and said nothing! If this behavior is condoned, I will not bring my business there and will tell all my other car lot owners there is plenty other options for shopping and where our business is welcome!
