I called ahead to make sure they would take what I had on a small utility trailer. The gal that answered the phone said they weren’t paying for steel, but I could drop it off. When I was about half unloaded, I was told by the forklift operator that they didn’t have room for the rest of my load, which was some metal roofing. Instead of saving time and gas I still have to go to Port Charlotte or Venice. I won’t be going back to Don‘s and can’t recommend them to anyone else.

I've been in this place 2 times now and was given the price of #2 copper when it was clearly #1 bare bright. The first time I didn't realize it until I was away from the property. The 2nd time I let it be known that it was #1. The woman who was working there (and clearly doesn't know her job) was told that it was #1 and she still wrote my ticket up as #2 So I'll never be going back there.

Interesting experience. I will give them 3 stars for now because the last time I was there, the service was 5 stars, but today it was not good. Probobly 1 star. I cut the cooper joints because the price is higher, but they insisted on weighing it all together, same with aluminum. I know it's not much, but every dollar and ounce counts. Also, the weird thing is that they gave me 3 dollars less than what they owed me, probably a mistake, but I will make sure to count my money there next time. I will definitely give them another chance and update this review next time.
