Never been there. I was getting them confused with Mack's Twin City. That place is terrible they ripped me off for $200 on salvage vehicles. They both (cars I was scrapping)had factory exhaust on them and they tried to say they didn't have catalytic converters. But like I said I've never been to this one hopefully they're better they're closer to my house anyhow

I bought a 2015 Ford Fusion a few weeks ago from Mack’s because they had a good reputation. There were a couple of issues we encountered but they went above and beyond to resolve the issues and now we are thrilled with this vehicle! Shout out to Don who never got frustrated with my calls and made sure we’re were 100% satisfied! Highly recommend!

Was quoted one price and when I went in with tittle and I'd they quoted me a different price. Pretty shady.

I had a 1999 GMC Jimmy. over the phone they quoted me $325 the guy came up to pick it up and had check for $300. It's not the money, it's the principle. The driver, I give 5 stars out of 5. He was kind, courteous and patient. Willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. Customer service 5 of 5. Overall 4 of 5

The staff was very helpful and I was able to find the replacement wheel and good tire that I needed for my truck. It wasn't too busy, especially for a Saturday morning, so it was a quick visit. The price was a little higher than expected but they were the only people in town that had one the right size and with a quality tire on it, so maybe that price range should be expected.

If I could give a no stat I would, sales person seemed new (which is fine we were all new at one point. she was very kind) but the manager was very very rude. was told I could have a part shipped to a certain place but then was told they never said that. I have a recording of my first conversation and told the manager I could send it to them and then was called a liar. All in all very poorly handled would never recommend this yard to anyone hands down

5 stars without a doubt. Great prices. Got a hood for a Ford focus for a great price. Was in excellent condition to match. Will be checking here first for future parts. Cant beat the prices here. Telling ya. Didnt try to scam me. So hard to find honest companies.

Best price I could find anywhere within 200 miles. I drove a good distance to pick up a fender and it was exactly the part I wanted. Most other places didn't have accurate inventory.

Bought a used car about 2 months ago (Hyundai Sonata 2009). The price was definitely at the higher end of the spectrum, but I decided to go for it because they also took care of all of the bureaucracy, and I also wanted to have someone to contact in case something went wrong. Since I'm a foreign student at UIUC, I was really worried someone would take advantage of my lack of familiarity with the US and scam me out of my money. The purchasing process went as smoothly as possible - got the car for a test drive, got it examined by a mechanic, got back, signed a couple of papers, paid, and got the car with everything else take care of. I later got the license plates delivered by mail. A week after buying the car I took it on a small trip to Chicago and back, and several warning light lit up. I called them immediately and they told me to bring the car in tomorrow morning. They took the car and fixed everything I had asked for, no questions asked, quickly, and most importantly free of charge. The problem turned out to be a faulty sensor, and the car has been running perfectly ever since. I gave them 5 stars because they delivered everything they promised, were fair and honest, and this is what matters the most when buying a car. Service was good both in quality and speed, and workers were nice.

I purchased a transmission from Mack's by phone, and had it shipped to me sight-unseen, as is. Not only did they work with me on the price, they waived the core charge, AND, the transmission works perfectly. In fact, I suspect it's been rebuilt. I will definitely use and recommend Mack's!

I am not from Urbana but recently had an issue with an old vehicle that was broke down, and would cost far more to tow and fix then it was worth. They were able to take care of the problem quickly and I got my check in the mail within a few days. No worries, friendly, and honest. Would definitely deal with them again.

Usually get pretty good service from here but today I was placed immediately on hold twice once without even a word. I finally got through and was told they wouldn’t have time to remove a headlight assembly from a vehicle. It’s only 3 bolts... I mean come on.... Now I have to go to Danville and buy from the competition. Oh well.

Highly recommend Mack's for any parts you may need! Brad helped me get set up with the right window glass to fix my mini van's sliding door for less than a 1/3 of what Safelite through my insurance would have cost me. He even checked my vehicle to be sure he had the right part AND recommend an awesome glass repair shop that I would also highly recommend. I'm incredibly grateful to Brad and the entire team at Mack's Auto! Thanks Guys!

I have had issues in the past with them “holding” parts for me and they always have wait time to get them pulled which is understandable. They always say they will call you when it’s pulled and ready. Except the past two times I’ve had them pull and hold something for me, they never call and when I call to get an update they say they already sold the parts. Well against my better judgement I’ve decided to give them another chance I ordered 4 rims. The employee was cool when I talked to him he said we are busy give me a day or 2. That’s no problem I get they have other customers and things can get hectic. I called on a Friday I let the weekend ride by and called them Monday after not hearing anything. I’m on hold for a long time and they say it’s not pulled yet but they will call me when it’s ready. Ok no big deal I can wait, they must be busy. I wait 2 more days and call back after not hearing anything. I’m on hold for awhile and then they say they already sold them to someone else after taking my name and number to hold them. This is the third time this has happened when dealing with them. Do yourself a favor and call Coultas in Danville. A longer drive but they have better prices, and the employees are all super helpful.

If you need good parts and don't want to pay full price for something new this is a great place to start. Also, if you want to sell or buy an old used vehicle you can do that as well.

Purchased a Used car from them and I was able to get a great price. They also stood behind the car 2 months down the road when I had an issue with it. These guys are great to deal with and are very helpful!

Bring lots of patience when dealing with these guys. Tried to get pictures of a hood on Thursday but they failed to send them. I took a chance and drove 100 miles to get it and arrived at 9am but the counter person told me it would be late in the afternoon before they would get to it. It is literally four easily accessible bolts to remove it.

Initially, we called for some wheels, due to a "systematical error" (car ready for crush before computer updated), wheels were gone... The Guys there honored the deal for a comparable set, and we've since ordered other parts... And we live in Springfield... Good service is just hard to beat, thanks guys...

I work for a local used car dealership so I come into Mack's all the time. They are always friendly and knowledgable about cars. They have tons of parts in stock and even when they don't have what we need they order it on for us. These guys are great and have the best prices in town!!

I needed a new rim for my ford ranger. I got a used one for about 45$, he told me the normal price was about 60$ or so. First of all thanks for the discount... these guys will treat you right. And I'll be coming back if I need more parts.

they "didn't type in" that my vehicle took puddle light, having said MULTIPLE TIMES THAT IT WAS NECESSARY, the fact that the one I got didn't have it? a BIG no no. So here I am 150 miles away, spent 4 hours and their "solution" is to TAKE that mirror(which I can see out of, but it doesn't have 3 ESSENTIAL things-,mainly the light) have me pay MORE to get the one with the puddle light(they never asked me about the other 2 things) and do 4 hours of labor to take that mirror away, and then when it comes in after I PAY MORE MONEY- another 4 hours to put the one they get in. IF THEY HAD BEEN HONEST AND SAID WE DONT HAVE THAT MIRROR I would have continued looking, I hope the guys wife, mother sister, what ever female in his life has to deal with men like this who don't give two craps about SAFETY.

Rip off i think

Out of all the local places that buy junk cars, Mack's was the only one who gave me a fair deal in a short time. After my car blew up in Urbana and I decided not to repair it anymore, Macks paid me and were going to schedule a pick up so I wouldn't have to tow it myself. The other places I called wouldn't return my call and wanted me to haul it for less money. Thank goodness for macks!

Mack's Auto Recycling is a typical junk yard. I prefer the you-pick-it type of junk yard because they are cheaper. When you know what you need and you don't feel like removing it yourself (or don't feel like traveling elsewhere), Mack's has got you covered. Sometimes the counter service can be busy. You can call ahead too.

Called them up for a price on a USED bumper for a 2001 Ford Ranger and they quoted me a price of $250. I bought a new one online for $82 and shipping was free. I have been there looking for tires, CAUTION: make sure you inspect the tire you want to purchase thoroughly! I found a tire with a quarter size hole in the sidewall and there was a price tag on it ready to sell.

I misread my tire size so I got the wrong rim. They gave me the correct, larger rim for no additional cost. Finally, after five months, I have a real tire and not the economy spare. I'm so happy!

Scummy place. Mack's lied to me about sending me the check for my scrapped vehicle, which I expect constitutes mail fraud. There was some strange problem with my address and the check was supposedly returned to them twice. I went to the post office, got the issue resolved, and Mack's agreed to mail it a third time. I never receive it so I call Mack's and they claim it was returned to them a third time. They rudely refuse to make another attempt or do anything else to help me, and told me if I want my check I would have to come pick it up. I take time from work to pick up the check and it's sealed in an envelope with a sticker from the post office that says non-deliverable. The date on that sticker proves that they only ever made one attempt to mail it. The second and third attempts were a lie.

If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service was horrible. I called on April 22nd to order a part from the pull yard and was told they would call me when the part was pulled. One week goes by, I call back and was told they will call me when it's been pulled. Another week goes by, I get someone that says they can't find the original quote. He says he found it and will call me when they pull it. Still no call as of today 5/8 so I call. Guy says they tried to call 2 numbers (which they might have, but wasn't either of my numbers) and they don't have the part to sell me. They wanted me to prepay for a new part after putting me through this. Not me, not today. Treat people bad and you lose their trust. I tried it your way the first time, you broke the trust. Now it's your turn to trust me or lose my business.
