I drove down during their “open” hours. After seeing that the gates were closed, I called so I could get in to look for a project bike. I was then told, “If you ain’t buyin, I’m not gonna open the gates. I’m busy.” I then said that I might buy and that I’d like to look around. By then he had already hung up on me. Unless you want to waste your time and be treated like garbage, don’t go to Skip’s.

Mike is the guy who runs the place now as far as I can tell. He's done pretty extensive work on two of our bikes now and has always been straight forward. Does great work and gives honest prices. Super excited to have found him. I consider this place a hidden gem.

I love a good junk yard, real friendly on the phone. Thought they had my part said they would be there between 12 and 1 for someone else on Saturday. I said I'll see you tomorrow. Drove 45 min from Hamilton to find locked gates at 1215. I called again and answering openmachine said open10-4. I left a message, got a bite to eat and came back at 1 hoping they would be there but still locked. Hope I can catch them one day they are actually there.

Have been there a couple times and has every part I need and has a average price. Be nice to him and he’ll be great to you. Had absolutely no problem getting what I needed. In and out within 10 minutes.

This place is a scam. Do your research before coming here, took my bike in here as a last result due to other shops being booked out weeks ahead just to have carburetors cleaned, when the owner came to pick up my bike, I was in shock when I saw him and the truck he brought to pick my bike up with. Half of the truck was held together by bungee cords and no working lights... he assured me the repair would be no more than $500 which was already on the high side compared to all other shops, two days later I get a call that my bike is ready with a final cost of $650! He only accepts cash and made me give a $200 deposit before he even took the bike, upon picking it up, it started and ran but was clear that the carburetors had not been cleaned properly, as this is my only means of transportation I regretfully gave him the money and took the bike. Not even three weeks later back to square one with the bike dying from dirty carbs... upon calling him to inform him about this, he was extremely defensive told me there was no way it could have anything to do with his work, or lack there of, and if I would like him to have a look it would be $75 to come pick it up and $50/ hour, after he had it! Completely unwilling to stand behind his work. After talking to more local repair shops it’s clear this isn’t the first time this has happened and he has a reputation in the area, just give a call around, A local mechanic told me he’d be surprised if he even took a bolt off and assumes he most likely just poured a solution into the gas take to make it run for a couple weeks and get paid. The property truly is a junk yard, there is no shop, unless his trashed double wide trailer home doubles as that also. Horrible, horrible experience, this guy truly is scum and so crude. Learned my lesson, trust your instincts upon meeting this man and call up places around.

Traded a bike and took $ on top of it. Bike broke in the middle of nowhere several times and every mechanic I met said unprompted that whoever sold me this bike knew what they were doing and that it was a terrible deal. Eventually (four days later) the bike wouldn't even push start and I gave it away to whoever could move it at the campground I was at. Buyer beware.

This place is hilarious. Like, the next reality tv show might be lurking in there, waiting to be discovered. Maybe the workers give some of us customers a one-star rating and take it from there. As soon as they "offer" some rotten thing, all cracked and bad-70s-styled for more than a brand new thing with LEDs and a warranty, you know they don't want you there. Shoppers tip: don't wear nice clothes, don't bathe, forget proper English and clear communication, and they might be more apt to help you, you jerk.

This place was worse than expected, deceptive and the owner was just greasy as some would say. He mislead me about whatthe wiring harness I bought would include, and I shouldn't have even wasted my money. He doesn't take care of his stuff at all, uts all overgrown and rusty, and I would be fine with that but his prices are double what Ebay prices are and every time you think you know what you're buying, he overcharges then doesn't include part of what u need and charges extra. I paid him hundreds of dollars and later realized the stuff was more rusted out and breaking of than I thought, and he purposefully didn't include things I needed, like the bolts for the pieces or parts of wiring harness. Down right greasy snake.

It's a junk yard. If you aren't expecting a junk yard, you will be disappointed. They have tons of bikes, they tend to know where everything is, and they may help look for it. They have lent me basic tools to help me get the part I wanted before. Service is about what you would expect at any old junkyard, hurry you, offer you tons of parts, ask for prices that are a little high. Sometimes a junkyard is the only way to get what you need; I haven't been let down yet.
