Spickler's Recycling JunkYard Reviews
4.2 stars based on 30 reviews- DDMELS
Fantastic and well run operation. Fast service, friendly staff. Prices are fair and location is convenient. The best local place to cash in scrap metals and aluminum cans. Even better - yard is clean and well kept so in my opinion a much smaller risk of picking up debris in a tire.
- RRussell Durkee
Nice place. Local. Very friendly. Easy. I would recommend stripping the metal from the nonmetal pieces off if you can, but they did take some old machines from me.
- SStephanie Reisner
Wonderful service, super easy, reasonable prices. All the employees were kind and helpful. I will be a repeat customer and highly recommend this business.

Best place in the area to bring your scrap metals. The employees are friendly and they are not disrespectful. If your scraping any metal this is the place to go by far. Also you don't have to worry about getting a flat tire unlike all the other places in the area.
- BBruce Englesby
I read all of the reviews posted by other people. I have never seen any of the issues trolls have been whining about. I have always been treated politely by all of the employees there. I have also always been paid a fair price for everything I bring in.

Vikki & the guys were awesome to work with! Felt like we've known them & been going to them for years. Will definitely go to them again the next time we are working in the area & highly recommend checking them out.

Best scrapyard out there hands down. :) I only ever go here. :)
- CCorey Morford
This place is a joke very rude terrible customer service
- CCece Jabs
Got rid of an old steel bedframe. Super fast and easy, and it was way nicer to get paid a few bucks rather than paying someone to take it to the landfill. 10/10 will be back!
- DDevin Hemenway
Don't go here ever. They ripped me off.. severely. The didn't give me back my 3 nice totes. They don't treat people with any respect. Use to be a good place to bring I'm scrap years ago. My dad always recycled with spickler's exclusively. He'd be disappointed to see how they handle business today! The only reason I rated 2☆ and not 1 is being Victor is still the only down to earth and respectful man on that lot. He also wasn't able to give me a receipt though.. sketchy

The scrap yard is ok for copper I guess but for Steel it's a joke. You have to throw metal into very small metal dumpsters. Don't go there with a lot of steel. Price was a bit lower then the big yards but not unreasonable. Biggest problem I had was with the older gentleman driving the forklift. He was very rude and could not rush me out of there fast enough. Putting a few tousand lbs of steel into those tiny dumpsters takes time. Give your customers more then 5 minutes to unload. The only resaon I am even giving you 2 stars was because of how nice the lady inside was who paid me.

Just witnessed an older women bring in a couple handfuls of nice copper and brass wares. Copper Tea pot and serving dish, brass candle holders, copper bowls and mugs etc. We were both curious to see the price she would get to which I said "if its anything under $20 I would have to try and buy it" Intially the women seemed intrigued and excited by the idea of her belongings being of more value to some stranger than the price of scrap. However the young man working got rude and snotty when the bill weighed in at $11 dollars and stated the deal was over and I could not persue purchasing the wares at an honest price. I said, "they are her's because you hadn't yet paid her" to which he responded that he "was paid for the time to weigh them up." (Approx. 3 Min.) And that it was not a flee market. I even offered up my cans to barter. His ultimate determination was, "no". Averting furthur escalation, I revert to this platform. I ended up leaving and giving the women my cans and scrap metal and explaining to her that I just "hate seeing people get ripped off" which I will admit is the least I could do for the injustice. To the young man and business, we all have rights, we all have morals and ethics that we can choose to, or not to stand by. If you think you did the right thing, continue business as usual, however seeing some compassion and humility toward your patrons wouldnt be a bad idea either. We all deserve a chance.. For me, I would have only been excited for the chance encounter to ensue and for my children and fiance to have the opportunity to relish at the neat and historical artifacts that were saved from their likely destination of being boiled down into new electrical wire for our speakers or someother nonsense that didnt have to waste our finite energy. Above all it would have made me happy that the women was able to walk away happy and served by the world, fairly. As we all deserve a chance to get a little further in life even if it ever so slightly affects our bottom line. I give a 2nd star only for the previous interactions that have typically been expedient and question free as there business model clearly embodies. Thank you.

Fair price paid out to recycle metal you no longer need. ID needed, passports count. Friendly & helpful staff, that is well versed in what they do. They do NOT accept steal food cans, even washed.
- TTony Sydejko
They are honest fair treat you better than family i go here almost every day.we are still planning to get married there.
- DDarla Lansing
I have been having a hard time walking and the guys were very helpful unloading my car and getting it weighted in for me. When I find a friendly place, I keep them in mind for the future.
- MMike Grant
Great group of guys. Professional, fair and honest. Will definitely go to them again and highly recommend 👍
- RRay Decker
Never got to sell anything g. Stepped out of my vehicle to ask where to park and an employee came out and screamed at me for parking in the wrong spot. Nowhere was the a sign indicating where to park. If this is how they treat customers I will never take my business there. I only wish I could rate them 0 stars
- PPanPuke K
Terrible customer service, made be carry 80 lbs of aluminum cans from parking area to the warehouse. Ending up getting cut, all because the guy there had a DUI and was not allowed to drive a forklift. I will be going to Alter Recycling from now on.
- JJohn Schick
First time their I ask a question and got my head bit off, I thought that was rude for the oldest person on a forklift. Wouldn't go there again ever!!
- MMatt Weber
