I've been coming here for over a decade. Although ownership has changed, Suburban has maintained the most efficient, friendly service of any scrap yard in this area. They pay the best prices on non ferrous metals. The best part is doing business in a safe, clean, INDOOR environment. Keep up the excellent service.

Everything seemed on the up-and-up with the Suburban Scrap Metal Place I'd never been there before. And the man I spoke to on the phone he's not present at the actual location his name is Kelly he seemed nice enough. But then the gentleman behind the glass in the counter. He was going to cheat me on the weight. When I called him on it and I asked to weigh my metal by itself my copper he threw a fit and said he had too many people waiting, even though I had been waiting for him to get his computer fixed for half an hour. Ensure this is a dishonest business and I wouldn't go there if I were you high rated zero

Suburban is ok if you know your metal. Just watch when taking in large hauls of various metals. Almost 160 lbs of #2 copper was paid out as steel. So if your paying attention, you're fine. But if you aren't familiar with metal types, or bringing in a valuable haul, I would recommend looking elsewhere

Excellent Staff with a great indoor facility. You can see the readout on the scale. the weights are honest and the prices are always best around. I came from Kenosha because they always treat me right. I wont go anywhere else for my recycling needs.

Best prices around. Very serviceable staff. I was thinking 100 bucks for my scrap brass. drove off with 270! also taught my kid to make money from what people call garbage! 2 birds 1 stone! Awesome experience!!

You drive into the facility--out of elements. People help you unload if you need. They wheel your scraps in a cart onto the scale. They will weigh separately according to type of metal you have. The price of metal will change each month or week, depending on the market. They pay cash and provide a detail receipt.

I called to see if they were open and what kind of prices they were giving. They were giving the most. When I got there I thought was in the wrong spot it was so CLEAN! The attendant, Adrian I believe, was very polite and surprisingly HELPFUL. I always check for accuracy in weight and pay. They were honest and I was paid in CASH!
