This use to be a place a working man can come and get parts to keep his vehicle running and therefore put food on the table. Now since Eldredge took over they crush vehicles just as fast as they get them

I had two vehicle's to scrap. They came out right away to pick them, paid on the spot. Great customer service!

The owner pepper sprayed a 9 month old baby. Could never support a business that has an owner like that. Just terrible!

The Best! I can spend all day there! They normally do NOT crush the older vehicles (80s & older).

I've been coming here for years driving about an hour to come to the best pick and pull place in the area. Great selection of cars and parts. Their prices are always beyond reasonable and the staff is always super friendly. They are always getting new cars on the lot and they are always willing to let you know what they've got as far as cars before you make the drive out. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Don't forget to bring your own tools! Happy picking!

I was a regular customer of Trout's for years, and they were my go-to parts-shopping destination, with plenty of parts for classic and modern cars in their sprawling yard. Recently, I went there looking for a part and was disappointed to find that there were almost no cars from which to pull. They have crushed their whole inventory, including nearly all the classics, which had remarkable sheet metal for their age. It was dystopian to see and I will not be returning any time soon. I am very disappointed that the new ownership did not see the cultural and monetary value of their huge collection. It is a shame, and a waste. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I've gone to trouts a few times this pat year and every time I've came out exactly what I needed to get my motorhome running. I couldn't get my card to work one point and had no cash and they played the honor system with me. Definitely recommend and awesome place.

Best pick and pull in the area by far. They have pretty much any make model and vintage you could ask for out back. One time someone broke into my car which was an '82 olds coupe- safelite wanted $350 for that glass and I pulled it out of here for $15.

Trout's Auto Recycling offered me the best price by far for my junky old car! They towed it for me and paid me immediately too. They were a joy to do business with and I strongly encourage others to pay them a visit. Great customer service!

I don't know where all these awesome reviews are from, but anyone local knows this place is a scum bag yard. No organization, cars are piled on top of each other, weeds in the summer grow up to where you can get to nothing. All the vehicles grown into the ground, forcing you to use spare tire jacks to jack stuff up so you can get to stuff which is not safe. Very very rude cash out clerks. I am forced to go there alot for dumb stuff like bolts and such.

I was looking for a part at pick-n-pull in auburn when another customer there told me about trouts. he told me that it was WAY bigger than pick-n-pull with alot more cars. I am from syracuse, so it IS a few extra miles, but I had some spare time and I wanted to see if what he said was true. when I arrived there, I was delighted to see this MASSIVE field full of cars. some of these cars were very old and I wished my dad was still alive so he could be with me. he would have gotten a kick out of it. there were alot of modern cars there and I found the part I needed. the person in the office was very nice, helpful and quoted me a price that I would definitely like and give me a good reason to return again. I will still go to pick-n-pull, as I have been a steady customer of theirs for over 20 years, but trouts is also on my list of places to go for a used part, which I do quite often. I am not so much into buying or selling metal, just buying used parts. very pleasant overall experience. glad that guy told me about the place. EDIT: I went there again, approx jan 1, 2016, and found a bunch of parts that could save me a lot of hassle if I had to replace them. I like to have spare parts stored in the car they go to. they let me have them for $15 which was an awesome bargain. every time I go to trouts I am glad I did. it's worth the long trip.

This place is the place to get your parts. Very very friendly place. They went above and beyond for me today and didn't need to. They are awesome. I have them come get my scrap. I go down there get parts. I can't remember setting foot in another yard. They have the rides most other places dont. So just go here!

I have been to Trout's several times. They are very fair on prices and have the best open policy regarding tools! If you have available any battery operated tools you are welcome to bring them in! Impacts, sawzalls, drills, and portabands are all great time savers when it comes to the disassembling and removal of parts. The owners and family are very nice and pleasant to deal with... Some of the staff lack decency and will price gouge when not under supervision! (This goes on everywhere, not just Trout's) I will continue to visit Trout's for all my used auto parts wants and needs!

This business is a total disaster. 4 months, 5 phone calls, 2 people and you still can’t answer one simple question: did you scrap my vehicle? What more do you want? The title and keys are in it. First the kid forgets twice then the old man forgets to call back the next day, then the kid hangs up on me. You are not the good kind of old fashioned New York business at all.

Make sure you take cash along." The card machine broke before COVID and they haven't gotten the part yet." Obviously probably no intentions of fixing it either.
