I know there are a lot of negative reviews about some RO (Range officers) including a personal experience from a friend but because I haven't encountered it I wouldn't take that into consideration. However my guess is that compared to other shooting ranges maybe this place is geared toward people who have been to ranges before so they are less patient towards unsafe beginners or inefficiency. This is actually one of the reasons I actually really like this range because it's really efficient which translates to more shooting time. If you need some handholding, I can highly recommend USI in Concord because the RSOs there are very patient and takes their time. The ROs here are also much younger whereas the ROs at USI are usually retired.

Ok, now we got that out of the way let's talk about the good the bad and the difference. The biggest negative is that you can definitely smell cow manure. You'll smell it as soon as you get out of your car. However honestly it didn't bother me after the first minute or two. The shooting range is beautiful but the individual bays are small and even the walkway is small so it means you are only allowed to take 2 guns at a time out of your range bag and you should clean up your brass during the 2 minute warning. The shooting period is longer than other ranges (20-25minutes each session) and instead of a countdown it's a clock and the range officer will announce when the session will end. The target stalls are at 5, 10, 16, 25 which is great because USI only had 7 and 17 at most bays.

Note that you are NOT allowed to bring your range bag before you checkin and you are not allowed to move your equipment during ceasefire. The restrooms are potter potties.

I really enjoyed my session there and I'd like to go back even though for non member it's $30 which is slightly higher than USI. Membership reduces it to $15 but then you need to pay $400 each year and $200 annually after. If I live closeby it's a no brainer.

Great place for shooting firearms. Pistol range is separated by caliber and by type of rifle. Plenty of supervision and privacy too. Rules are there for safety. If you have not been here before buy your shooting hearing protection and glasses beforehand. Remember you’re not the only one shooting. It’s loud and magnificent at the same time. I’ve been shooting for 50 years. This was a large group of mix experience and we all had a great time.
