I went to this recycling center as it is right across the street from my apartment. When you go here, make sure you look at the weight on the scale and ensure calibration was done properly. What they do is they "estimate the weight" and take the recycling material off real quick hoping you don't recognize the proper weighed amount. When I confronted them about the weight of both my plastic and aluminum, they didn't want to re-weight the items, but obliged to give me what was seen on the scale. California in essence is a scam. What is the purpose of depositing the recycling fee when you aren't even employing people who do the proper job of repaying its citizens of the deposited amount. Shady practices that need to be addressed. What seems likely is that they know the difference and pocket that amount for themselves after the fact. If I was underweighted an amount of $5 that was paid out after confronting the situation, think about the 100s of people who come and get underweighted throughout the day and everyday since this is 7 days a wk. It may be $1-$10 here and there, but this is robbery in plain sight. That's essentially $1000-$2000 wkly on average they are pocketing of your deposited money if there's a 50 people who come at an average of $5 dollar being siphoned.

Ended up leaving after 30 minutes of waiting because they couldn’t figure out how to replace the shipping container. It shouldn’t take them 4 tries to connect it properly. Not to mention there was maybe 5 or 6 workers and none of them actually doing any work. Completely unacceptable.

This place was fun! Being from maine watching them weigh and not count them was astonishing to me. Not used to sorting them either. Friendly bunch as well. You do however need to fill them on your own. In case someone needs help. Not sure if they assist people with this or not.
