Efficient process. Small parking lot on site that fits ~10 vehicles. Don't come first thing in the morning, unless you want to wait in a long line along the street. Come mid-morning or later. Place your recyclables into the large containers (one type in each container, no mixing) and get in line. Have your ID ready when it's your turn because that's the first thing they'll ask for. If you have less than 50 CRV (plastic bottles or aluminum cans), you can tell them how many you have so you can claim the actual CRV, instead of by weight which is usually a little less than actual CRV. After all your recyclables are weighed, go to the cashier window with your ID. Sign the paper, get your cash, and double check the amount before you leave. And you're done!

Best time to go is after 12 PM — it’s less crowded. If the parking lot is full, you can line up along the side of the street before the entrance and wait for your turn. Once inside, grab one of the big baskets for your recyclable items. Important tip: For bottled water, do not remove the label (it shows the CRV and price) and keep the caps on. They weigh your recyclables — items aren’t priced individually. The system is smooth and efficient. After loading your items into the basket, line up at the counter (Lines 1, 2, or 3). They’ll weigh everything and ask for your California ID. Then proceed to the small window on the side to present your ID again. You’ll sign a paper showing the total cash value — and that’s it! A quick, easy way to earn a few extra bucks while helping the environment.
