We had some big trash at home that couldn't go into our regular trash bins for pickup, so I started looking around for city dumps. Puente Hills MRF was the closest facility to me. This place looks nice to drive up to, and is well organized. There are signs as you drive up the road that let you know which lane you should stay in for your dumping. upon arrival at the scales make sure you follow the clearly posted signs; it'll make your experience easier. The staff was courteous all throughout, and they ensure you're safe. A must have is a breathing mask; it's hard to breath with all the dust and fumes. Also, you'll need a reflective construction vest, but if you don't have one they sell them for $4.00. I dumped some drywall and 2x4s, a small truckload. The cost was $82.00.

Many times when I've been waiting to weigh out they ignore me and deal only with people weighing in. I once changed from one weigh out scale to another (after not getting a response for at least 20 minutes) and was yelled at that I shouldn't have changed scales.
