I had a great experience today at O'Reilly's. I climbed into my car after work ready to head home when the battery was dead. I got a jump from a friend and headed to O'Reilly's to get a replacement battery. The battery was getting old so I assumed it was a battery problem. When I arrived Jacob asked how he could help. When I told him my problem he asked me, with a friendly smile, if I would like him to test it. I said sure and we headed out to my car and it turned out the battery was fine. Then we tested the alternator and it was also fine. I could have spent hundreds of dollars for something I didn't need. I think O'Reilly's needs to give Jacob a raise! I have been in retail management for over 40 years and friendly, professionals like Jacob are more and more rare.

The recent monsoon made it abundantly clear that I needed to replace my windshield wipers. JUNIOR in the Pleasant Hill store figured out that I needed two different sizes, one for the driver’s side and one for the passenger side (who would have known?) and installed them quickly and efficiently. NICE!

They are the nicest. I wish I got her name, but there was a woman at the desk who helped. My check engine light was on, so she let me use the tool to plug it in to run a diagnostic, then printed it out for me to take to a mechanic. I also got new windshield wipers, and she wiped down my windows AND installed them for me. She was so nice. I don't remember her name, but I know she had a pet snake that lived to be 30 years old... hopefully that identifies her :)
