I just moved back into town a few months ago. Prior to visiting Lavender Brothers, I drove all the way to San Jose to my car’s dealership. Since I purchased my car almost 9 years ago I had gone to the dealership for all service. After visiting the dealership in CA and being recommended to replace something out of my budget, I started calling local shops. I had Lavender Brothers on my list from a month prior when I needed my brakes fixed, but someone else was recommended and I used them instead (big mistake as Lavender Brothers found what they had done incorrectly). After calling about 10 local shops, with some quoting higher than the dealership, I was able to talk to Toby. Toby is the owner and he did not give me any sales pitch, he explained why he doesn’t quote over the phone and why it’s important to inspect the car to be sure what he is quoting is even needed. Turns out the dealership had it wrong and what they recommended needed replacing didn’t need replacing at all! Lavender Brothers did a thorough inspection and found things the dealership missed even though I brought it in to have them do a full inspection. Robin, who is the manager, went above and beyond and never stopped surprising me with how much he actually cares about customers and their cars. Once they completed the work and did a final test drive they noticed there was still a noise. From the beginning when I brought my car in, Robin could hear a noise that I’ve been trying to tell other auto shops and dealerships about. Unfortunately, no one ever heard or found anything. Robin heard it when I pulled in and heard it still there during the final test drive. He opened up the tire and found it was cracked! I had purchased this tire out of state, but the sister company was right down the street. Robin rushed the tire over there before they closed in 30 minutes and was able to take care of it. The tire was replaced immediately. Robin called me constantly to keep me updated and let me know the current status. He fought against my warranty to get me better quality parts. He took care of Iittle details like setting my clock to the correct time due to daylight savings and putting the sun shade up to keep the car cool when I picked it up. Being a female, I often worried about being overcharged or treated differently. I’m so grateful Lavender Brothers remained honest from the start and found real issues to fix instead of making them up. With photos and videos as evidence! Unless Lavender Brothers tell me they can’t do something specific on my car there’s no other place I’ll trust.

Amazing crew, Robin in particular kept me informed and very helpful whole time. Had a rear diff repaired and some other things that came their attention. Stayed past closing on a friday till we got the parts in and installed. New shop found!

I have been using Lavender Brothers for a few years for our F-150 and our Subaru and have nothing but great things to say. My experience has been that Robin is the main point of contact and schedules appointments, handles billing, etc. He has been a great communicator and nice to work with. The other thing that is really valuable is that he understands the mechanical issues and can explain what is going on. That is so much more helpful than talking to someone that knows nothing about the mechanics, as you can actually ask questions and get clarity immediately. I have also spoken with Abraham, and he too was very communicative and explained the issues. I originally came to them during the pandemic as the dealership was unable to get a part we needed. Lavender Brothers suggested possibly sending it off to have it rebuilt as it could be a long time. (The dealership never suggested that option.) Lavender Brothers coordinated removing it and sending it off. Unfortunately it was not able to be rebuilt in the end, but Lavender Brothers kept watching for new parts and called me months later when the part became available, and then installed it. The dealership was supposed to do the same, but I never heard back from them. Another time I had an automatic window that stopped working. They replaced the defective parts and all was working again. At some point a number of months later we started having some intermittent problems, and then about a year later it stopped working completely. I brought the car in and they took a look and found my kids probably got some food in the controls. They cleaned it out and everything worked fine. They didn't even charge me. So I can say they have been fair and understanding as well.
