I have a vintage Swedish car,& it can be a pain to find parts for. I ordered a set of front brake parts for it from a local auto parts place here in Davis,but after 1000 miles,they are dragging & defective,although the local auto parts store said "just bring those Best Brakes reman. calipers back and we will refund you". I can only afford to do my own work which I had done 'by the book' complete on these front brakes 2 months ago;now the weather is bad to work outside and I Don't want to do this job again because of defective remanufactured parts. I had good results going to Larry Pisani's Napa store in Winters;the past 8 years I went in there about 4 times and was always impressed with their large stock of parts and Larry was very helpful. I did not have an account with them,but was referred to by them only as "Cash Customer". The last time I went in there(about 6 months ago)I spoke to a couple employees and one young man had a good attitude;he showed me where items are located & I was glad they had them. I had also dealt with Jos'e and he was a bit different to learn information from;took a long time for him to tell me,kind of dragging it out. I just went in yesterday to prepay after speaking with Jos'e on the phone about the trouble I was having with the brake parts from another auto parts store,the ones which are defective. Jos'e helped a bit,although I don't know what other parts are available,maybe just one manufacturer has these parts? I drove over from Davis to Winters to prepay for the pair of Remanufactured brake parts he said they can get;I won't drive my car because of the defective front brake parts on it. I instead drove my motorcycle in the cold,arrived just before 5PM;this issue has me stressed,considering the bad parts from the other supplier. I was hoping for a pleasant,helpful transaction,quick and low stress,so I can get back to my residence. Jos'e told me some stressful things(in a type of slow worrying,bossy way,while two other employees stood there,looking amused)about the parts we had already spoken about on the phone;the way he was speaking,I just wanted to pay and get out of there. I was standing there listening to Jos'e speak in this stressful,worrisome way;tell me things for 15 minutes. He was dragging me down,and I needed encouragement. The many things Jos'e told me,one in particular,I will never forget: "there are No Returns on these remanufactured front brake calipers.." ouch. I regret purchasing it now,considering the many things which Jos'e spoke to me. I won't do this again. Edit:I respect Larry Pisani and appreciate how he built his business and his care and helpful way toward me;I will miss speaking with him. Edit 12/18:I had called the owner Larry to cancel this transaction the same day of purchase,before it posted to my account,and he said he would ! I opened my online banking and now see it has been posted to my account ! Why did you do that,after you told me on the phone you will cancel the transaction before it posts !?? 12/18 2nd edit: I have found a store in Sacramento: Foreign Parts Specialist who quoted me a price for Nugeon brand quality remanufactured front brake calipers which I plan to purchase,after I get the refund back through my bank for the $ which I paid to Jos'e described above.

I stopped in to purchase a nut and bolt to hold the basket on my bike because the other one worked its way out, and the basket was hanging on by a thread. I wanted to say thank you to the young man who helped me. You were very helpful and friendly. :)
