BEWARE! They will give you a quote on the phone then lower it after! He said the catalytic converter wasn’t the original and because I needed to start work I didn’t take the time to look it up. The converter was the original and he lied to try and only offer me $200. I should have just kept the car and found someone else to sell my car to!

I had the unfortunate circumstance, losing a car to a transmission issue. I called All Car Buys and was quoted $500 on the phone providing the inspection yielded nothing unforeseen. I already had the Car towed to the pick up location as I was having it inspected first to see if it could be repaired. So I arrived in another vehicle. The tow truck driver seemed pleasant enough and kind. He did ask how long I own the car which I’ve only had it for four years. He took pictures underneath the car, and came out and said this catalytic converter should look like this other picture he shows me and he shows me a picture of one from a completely different model car. Tells me it’s aftermarket and that he’s gonna knock off a couple hundred dollars. What he didn’t realize is, I knew the history of the car and I knew that was the original catalytic converter. It belonged to my deceased son. I’m not an idiot. He gets on the phone and he tries to act like he’s working on my behalf to get me more money. He told the office I took an Uber to the location and I needed the money for a new car. Part of the performance as I call it. So he said, could we give them a little more and they uped anti a little bit. The conversation with the office and him as well as myself went on for a few minutes as he continued to act like he was negotiating on my behalf. I finally settled for $100 less than was quoted. So beware of bad acting and sneaky dishonesty from this business. I should have walked and called someone else. I was just over it however. Praise the Lord I didn’t need the money. Many others in similar situations might.
