KNOWN THIEVERY David got in contact with me directly, discussed pricing, brought the vehicle to his yard, inspected it and gave me the amount I asked for. I live 2.5 hours away so I traveled to the salvage yard to pick up a few things out of the car and sell it. The ladies and the escort to the car were all polite and nice. Very welcoming. So far, 5 star behavior! Everything was going so smoothly until I got to the car. I signed no bill of sale before I saw that my glove box, trunk, and every nook and cranny were rummaged through. I asked the escort who brought the car here and he said he did so I asked him who pulled everything out of the glove box. He said didn't know and asked if I was missing something. I was missing ammo. He asked around and confirmed it was on David's desk. I was given back the ammo, signed the bill of sale, took my money, and left. If I had not asked about my property, I would not have gotten it. 2 stars for honoring price but there is at least one thief at this business and it's either David himself or he knows who it is and allows them to steal. David, I hope you read this. If I didn't want to deal with the car anymore, I would have renegotiated the price since giving what I asked tells me the car was worth more and/or I would have taken the title, paid you for towing, got it towed back out, and told you to lawyer up. Consider yourself lucky.

Definitely recommend David’s Auto Salvage for all your part needs, I’ve been looking for a Tail light for my 04 Silverado Stepside that is hard to find online used and new it is discontinued, i’ve contacted a few salvage yards that had it close to my hometown California where I live all of which none of them got back to me or even answered the phone, luckily using car-part.com I found that David’s had the tail light i’ve been looking for, gave them a call they answered fast and the person talking to me was very nice and helpful and gave me a shipping quote in seconds, I sent them the credit card authorization for payment and the next day the part was shipped and only took 5 days to arrive from Texas to California. Got the part I needed fast and it was really well packaged and for a really good price for a hard to find part, I recommend them and will do business again in the future. Thank you!

The got me three cores for my truck and they were nice ... BUT I needed the rubber bushings that came with one of the cores to hold it in place and they couldn't be bothered to help me with it.. it put me in a real bind to.. so cudos for giving me a working part but beyond that the service is horrible.. attitude on the phone to just blatant shrugging off any attempt to get the bushings I made.. sad cause this place had potential if the people up front cared more

Huge inventory, but will more than likely sell you a defective part and refuse refund or exchange for correct functional part. Only able to give one star due to the huge inventory and slight possibility you may get the correct part and it be functional. I will add that 25 years ago when Sr. ran a small place things were much more pleasant and honest.

Horrible service. Manager was very rude and disrespectful after telling him that I ...1. Called 5 hours ahead of time for part and it wasn't ready when my son arrived 2. They then had to wait 2 hours for the part. 3. When they got the part back to Brownwood it Didn't work! So i called and told the manager what had happened and he said several times "so what's the problem" Very rude and will Never stop foot in there again!!!

They lie about their return policy even if they give you a part that is not the correct part they say they will give you your money back but then they tell you there's nothing they can do they gave me a part for my car and I told him the wrong year I asked the lady if I took it home and it was the wrong one if they could give me my money back and she said yes then I call and he tells me there's nothing I if they could give me my money back and she said yes then I call and he tells me there's notht he can do that he can do about it. These people are sorry good for nothing jerks and the crooked.

I was referred to David's auto salvage a couple months ago after a body shop ruined a decklid of mine. I went to find a new one at David's and found just what I was looking for, but their price was 3 times what I had paid for the first one at another salvage yard. I asked the lady if the price was negotiable and she immediately snapped and told me to my business elsewhere. I will never step foot back in there.

You pay before you get the see the part, and they don't refund you your money if you aren't happy with it. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever, I would recommend going to any other salvage yard over this one.
