I ordered a front axle for a BMW E60 530xi. The part arrived and the universal joint was seized and the part is not useable and worthless. I promptly called left a message with playground auto recyclers to notify them of the issue and start the return process. I found out that the part came from a donor vehicle with 210,000 miles. I was also informed that I could return the part but I wouldn’t get a full refund. Marissa, the customer service rep explained that the part left their facility in working condition. She also let me know that it cost Playground Auto recyclers money to pull the part off the car and ship it to me so therefore I need to be charged something. I find it difficult to accept that I should be charged anything for their decision to send out a bad part off a car with almost 1/4 million miles. I am waiting to see if Playground Auto Recyclers does the right thing and refunds me the full amount. If they do I will make an amendment to my review but for now I am very disappointed and unsatisfied with the way my transaction has been handled. If I were able to see the part in person before it was purchased, I would have refused it. Since I trusted the vendor’s description on eBay, I am forced to pay for a worthless part that is worthy of only a dumpster. So moving forward be careful when dealing with Playground Premium Auto Recyclers, literally your miles may vary! I did ask to speak to the owner and he/she is conveniently on vacation. We’ll see if I ever get a response. I am taking the time to go into detail so the next customer doesn’t suffer the same fate as me.
