I had a frustrating experience with Universal Towing. I ran out of gas late in the evening on a weekday and called for help just before they closed. After agreeing to their nonrefundable service, I was unable to get ahold of anyone for over two hours. Luckily, someone eventually showed up, but the service was unprofessional. Their gas can was in poor condition, requiring a funnel, which caused gas to spill all over my car. While I’m thankful they eventually showed up, the lack of communication and poor equipment made this a stressful and disappointing experience.

After leaving my car parked for several months, I finally needed it for a few errands around Buellton. When I tried to start it, the engine wouldn't respond at all and there were no signs of life from the vehicle. I spent way too much time convincing myself it would somehow start before finally calling Universal Towing Assistance. Their roadside assistance team showed up sooner than I expected and immediately made the situation feel less stressful. The driver checked a few basics, explained what might be causing the issue, and carefully handled the tow from start to finish. What started as a frustrating morning ended up being surprisingly easy to deal with thanks to their professionalism and patience.

Universal Towing Assistance provided excellent service when I needed roadside assistance. My car overheated on the 101 near Buellton after sitting in traffic way longer than I expected coming back from Solvang, and with the afternoon heat bouncing off the road I could feel myself getting stressed fast. I pulled onto the shoulder and waited a few minutes hoping the temperature gauge would magically drop back down... definitely didn’t. Called them expecting a long wait since traffic was backed up through the area, but the driver showed up in about 30 minutes. Really easygoing guy too he walked up holding a bottle of water and said, “Central Coast traffic claims another one.” He got everything loaded quickly, explained where the car was being taken, and made the whole situation feel a lot less overwhelming. Pricing felt fair for same-day towing honestly. By the end of it, I was mostly just relieved the car was finally getting taken care of.
