Be aware of ILLEGAL towing activities! SCAM! Last Friday night, Sander Towing turned a bad situation into an outright miserable one. I understand towing exists. What I do not accept is the way this company handled a straightforward request for information and a basic level of respect. I got to the scene quickly after realizing my car was being towed. The truck was still there, and I asked if the vehicle could be released. The response was an immediate, flat refusal, delivered with a hostile, dismissive attitude. No clear explanation, no effort to communicate, and no interest in resolving anything humanely. The message was basically: you have no options, stop asking questions. From that point on, everything felt designed to maximize confusion and pressure. I asked simple questions any reasonable person would ask in that moment, where the car was being taken, what the total cost would be, what fees were being charged, and what I needed to do next. I did not get clear answers. I got vague statements, impatience, and the kind of tone that makes it obvious they do not care that you are stranded and stressed. The whole interaction felt like a script: refuse, deflect, and force you into the most expensive and inconvenient outcome. If you are a student, a resident, or someone dealing with this late at night, it is especially brutal. You are left standing there watching your car disappear while being treated like you are an inconvenience for asking basic questions. This is not just “towing is unpleasant.” This is a customer experience problem, a professionalism problem, and a transparency problem. If Sander Towing wants to operate in the community, they should be able to explain their process clearly and treat people with basic decency. Last Friday, they did neither. If you are considering them as a vendor, think hard about whether you want your residents or customers to go through this. If you are a driver, document everything, take photos, and be prepared for an interaction that is cold, rigid, and unhelpful. I would not recommend Sander Towing based on how they handled this situation.

Halloween was a terrible day for me and Sanders made it all better. If you own a Harley Davidson and need it towed the driver who took care of my ride was incredibly attentive. I’m used to having to coach drivers on how to strap a motorcycle down. I was shocked when I turned around and my bike was strapped securely and properly. The driver was really cool to talk to and drove me through terrible traffic to get me to safety. And as an added note I left my wallet in the truck. My wallet is magnetic and got stuck under the seat. The driver kept looking for 4 whole days until he found it and returned it with every dollar that was in it. I would specifically call this company in the future if I am in range.

Last week I had one of the worst towing experiences I’ve ever had, and it was with Sander Towing. I’m not writing this because I’m happy my car got towed. I’m writing it because of how they handled the situation, the way they spoke to me, and how little transparency there was. It happened late in the day, and I got to the location quickly after realizing what was happening. The tow truck was still there. I asked, calmly, what my options were and whether the car could be released. The response was an immediate refusal with a cold, dismissive attitude, as if I was wasting their time by asking basic questions. There was no effort to explain the process clearly or treat me like a person dealing with a stressful situation. When I asked simple things, where the car was going, what the total cost would be, whether there were additional fees, what documentation I would need, I got vague answers and a “not my problem” tone. It felt like the entire interaction was designed to shut down questions and push me toward the most inconvenient and expensive outcome. The communication was poor, the attitude was worse, and the experience was unnecessarily aggressive. Towing is already a high-stress situation. A professional company would at least provide clear information and basic courtesy. Last week, Sander Towing provided neither. The lack of transparency and the way they handled the interaction left me feeling pressured, ignored, and taken advantage of. If you’re a property manager choosing a towing vendor, I would seriously reconsider using a company that treats people this way. If you’re a driver, document everything, take photos, and be prepared for a difficult, unpleasant interaction. I would not recommend Sander Towing based on my experience last week.
