My wife and I just bought an out-of-state Toyota 4Runner so of course there's a lot of hoops to jump through when you're registering that type of vehicle in California. My experience here was great. I hate to be that guy but if you're in California you definitely don't need to pay for a service and here they do charge $50 for a VIN verification. However to me it was worth it to bypass the long lines of the DMV and I was treated with respect and with kindness. They were very understanding of my situation and I wasn't waiting any more than 15 minutes before someone was with me. We got it all taken care of. I took it right back to the DMV, got my out-of-state vehicle completely registered with no problems.
