Found a car for sale on FB marketplace, I ignored the 2 or so negatives the guy had on Google as he seemed like a decent, honest business owner. He swore up and down that the car he was selling(one of many) had a good solid body, light rust, threw in a used passenger window, a used instrument panel(I asked for a dash, but didn't complain, he has lots of used parts lying around) upon my weekend inspections and work on the car I found Deep rust, rust holes, severe body damage indicating the front end had been crushed at one point, and only the external was repaired properly for looks, there being a deep gash along the inside of the engine bay all the way to the cab. When I bought it I'd been interested because it had a non-stick engine installed, cone to find it was seized, I texted Todd, the owner, outlining the things I'd found, expressing how I understood the caveats of a car like I'd bought(Opel GT, around 60 years old, not that it should matter) I waited a few days then called him, upon which he circled around the problem of him misrepresenting the car without me calling him out at all, I was positive the whole time and was hoping he'd be honest and do the right thing, either taking the car back with the work I'd already done to it, a trade in, anything really, I made it clear it was up to him, He basically admitted he ignored my text in the first place and made it sound like he had no intention of responding at all. To me, without writing a book, it seems after 40 years of business he's lost his ethics, and is only in it for the money, before my experience with him, he hardly posted anything online, afterwards he spammed lots of "look at our new inventory" "look at this or that" "here's our showroom at our museum 20 years ago" "here's one of our parties 10 years ago" "here's how you build a Weber carb for the Opel GT" After I called him out, and made a buyers Beware post on the Facebook group I was hit by flak from a bunch of Opel groupies in their 40s-50s who claimed it was buyers remorse, as if I was a stupid kid, insulting my intelligence, making fun of me like they're back in the schoolyard in the 70's, claiming I got a deal with how much the cars are worth. Behind closed doors multiple admins of the group, and dozens of random people apologized for the reception I'd gotten, and all said they don't buy from Todd/Opels unlimited because he's shady and sells junk, with no warranty or sold "as is"(fraud in California, but who's gonna go to small claims court over it) Not enough people give him negatives so the people that get scammed have no clue, and he blows up the good cases where everything works out on his social media(Facebook) It's simple, he's running a junk yard casino, and the house always wins, if you lose, good luck, because he is one of 2 Opel parts Dealers in California and maybe 4-5 in the United States.

I have had difficult dealings with this company. I bought a used 2.2l engine and fuel injection setup that both were no good. I never got fuel injection to work and had to get my 1.9l bored out to fit 2.2 pistons. The block I bought was cracked. I ended up GIVING the fuel injection setup to Fill at OpelGT source so I didn't put it in the trash out of frustration. Thousands wasted with this company
