Awesome Antiques shop. They have a small shop below and a furniture shop upstairs. The shop is packed. We found their prices to be reasonable. The owner is super-friendly and very welcoming. We purchased a swarovski crystal heart. It's beautiful. We will be back!

Wonderful finds and great prices. It is truly an enjoyable trip, every time. Some things are a perfect blank canvas, and others are just a great deal.

I have lived near this shop for over 20-years and did not know it was in business. I wish I had known.... My first visit was such a pleasure. Yes, I did buy a few things, but just the fun of looking was so special. It was a trip down memory lane.... such fun. I cannot remember how many items I saw while making a tour of the Junkyard Dog and into my mind came a memory from my childhood. Dozens of times I told my significant other, "my grandmother had one of these"". Do yourself a favor, take the time to see all the treasures they have, you will not be sorry. If you have a child or grandchild you can give them a tour of the place and explain what the items are and how you remember them. Enjoy! And go back as I will!

This out of the ordinary antique store has everything you could imagine! The owners and employees are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to do business with. You can tell they really care for their antiques and the stories they carry as well as their customers. They weren't shy a bit to sit and chat, they didn't make out like they were too busy to listen. I loved my experience and plan on going back and learning more. Thank you Junkyard Dog antiques for making my aunt and I feel so special!!

Since the move, not the same. Too limited a selection. Won't go back. I use to buy memorabilia and shot glasses, beer mugs/glasses. None of these remain.

I have driven by this place many times and a friend and I decided to check it out. Upon entering through the front door was made to feel so welcome by employees. Super rare these days. One of their customers actually brought them homemade cupcakes while I was there. From small trinkets to glassware to estate jewelry, furniture, etc. There’s something for everyone! I left with a small, inexpensive, cute bracelet, which they put in a beautiful organza bag. Came back a couple days later, and purchased a unique sterling silver ring that I was eyeing. If you live in Hernando, or Pasco county, you have to check this place out. Or come from Tampa or Clearwater and spend the day. You will not be disappointed! 🤩

There was so much n alk beautiful except for the prices. Everything was sp precious but over priced!! I do what I can to help Alk living creatures esp dogs. This place was WAY our of my price range- which can be high for the right circumstance- but I dont like being asked 2 pay exorbitant prices even for a great cause. Very disappointed!

My favorite antique store in Hernando County! I always check in at least once a month since their inventory is always changing. Great place for a unique gift or beautiful antique furniture for your home. Hope and her staff are super friendly!

A seemingly charming antique store that is ruined by the fact they charge fraudulent sales taxes on some of their wares, and attempt to prey on the uninformed. Very good selection of antiques and an ostensibly friendly staff. However, when I tried to purchase a Morgan Silver Dollar, they informed me they charged a tax on the sale of U.S. Currency. "Effective July 1, 1999, the sale of coins and currency that are U.S. legal tender is no longer taxable. The sale of any other coin and any other currency with a price of more than $500, and the sale of gold, silver, and platinum bullion with a price of more than $500, is exempt." They were extremely friendly to talk to and very knowledgeable, but when I tried to explain to them that the sale of U.S. currency is not subject to tax, they argued that it was subject to tax because the coin was a collectable. Their argument is a non sequitur, the coin is still U.S. legal tender, regardless. They refused to look at the legal tax exemption, as written, when I offered to pull it up on my phone. This occurred after I had already had a very excellent conversation with their numismatic expert, where I agreed to purchase the coin at a certain price. The staff remained very polite and calm throughout my interaction, regardless of this disagreement. When I objected to paying a tax on a tax exempt item, they simply stated I do not have to buy the coin. I took their suggestion and left empty-handed. In spite of anything positive I can say about this store, the seller acted so deliberately obtuse by insisting on charging me tax for U.S currency, refusing to look at irrefutable evidence of U.S currency being tax exempt, and then offering up a non sequitur excuse of the item being a "collectable" to justify their nonsensical tax of less than $2.00. I felt so slighted, and insulted, by their complete disregard of my value as a first time customer. It soured any desire, I had, to engage in repeat business with them. Edit in response to the response from the business owner: After negotiating, and a very nice conversation regarding coins, I agreed to pay the price that was agreed upon, which was $30. Your condescending response is disappointing. I explained, very clearly, why I was displeased in my review, that being that you charged a sales tax on a tax exempt item. I don't care if the price that WE AGREED on was $60, it does not change the fact that U.S. currency is tax exempt. I don't know how to clarify the reason for my dissatisfaction, any further. I don't care that the final price cost me an additional dollar, despite my penchant for haggling. I care that you hid that additional charge behind a fraudulent sales tax. The person at the register, despite his ostensibly, congenial demeanor, was just as obtuse as your reply is now. I am in utter bewilderment that you took the time to read my review, which outlines exactly why I was unhappy with your business, and instead of striving for any amicable resolution, you decide to speculate additional reasons as to why I'd be upset. Your reply demonstrates the same obtuseness that was shown to me in your store.

Junkyard Dogs Antiques is the best antique store in Hernando County. The staff is amazing and the items are beautiful. If you live outside of Hernando County and you're looking for QUALITY antiques, you should make the drive to this store!
