A few years back, I would have given more stars but as some other reviewers have said, you feel like you're unwanted the whole time you're there (as a buyer). Much of the pricing is decided arbitrarily by the person at the front and can be all over the place. While they've started pricing some things more like an arch restoration or antique store, you can still find some replacement parts and fixtures at a reasonable price.

Rude. Short. No patience. When calling from a business and asking about pricing/fees for multiple dumpsters at commercial job sites, I was left to feel like I was a burden, after asking a total of 3 questions. Very sad way to be considering the amount of business I was trying to bring. I just got off the phone with someone there and decided off of that encounter to go elsewhere. If you don’t like customer service, find a new field to be employed in.

Their scale is down so they’re dealing with that by charging double what it would normally be and not fixing it. It’s been down for weeks with no improvement. I’m a regular customer and I’m very unhappy about it. Edit: it’s been over a month since I left this review and nothing has changed ( prices seem to be getting steeper in fact!). I had a day I took my 6 yard dump trailer and they told me it would be 120$ to dump. I said no and took that to the county dump and it was 29$. I tried to call the owner and even left a voicemail about my unhappiness and never heard back.

Scale doesn’t work so they charge outrageous amounts by “guessing”. They never sweep so you’ll pop a tire like me. And with all they have going against them, they’re rude on top of it.

Not open on Sunday like it says here. When it’s open, it’s easy, though you may have a long wait and it’s up to you to unload obviously.

Great little place, always find some cool things hidden in the mix. Staff is nice and helpful. Prices are decent. I enjoy stopping in here every now and again. Look high and low on the shelves, there's a lot to see.

As of May 7th the price had doubled on all the extra items. A mattress is now $24 and a tire is $10 off rim or $20 on rim... As a commerical hauler it is no longer an option to pay them kind of prices. It's bad enough to wait 30-45 mins once or twice a day. I'll spend the 30 mins to drive up and back to rockford for half the price. Let me if you figure out a better price for commerical.

Great place to check out while on the NorthEast side of town for vintage house items ...and just plain fun to dig around to see what's there. Bring a flashlight (or your phone app) and possibly some gloves. Park in front of the grey building and head inside. The main area is heated/air conditioned and has a little of everything. Bolts of fabric were really inexpensive, though they may not always have that kind of item all of the time. Most items are priced with a red tape easily seen. Interior stair railings are sold by the whole set (some with great vintage newel posts!) and it varies as to what is in stock at the time. (Would be cool to have a photo available of the original stairs before it was dismantled and in various sections and bins... wishful thinking.) Head through the rear door (or the plastic strip doorway to the right for the door room, etc.) for more things... and where you'll need that flashlight. Two matching huge (French?) painted cabinets/wardrobes (not sure what they are called) that are stunning- are priced at $450 each (ask the guy at the desk about them)... kitchen cabinets... pianos... glass deck railings... multiple bed frame parts from a hotel or something... all there and more to be dug through. Too fun. (Yes, it is dusty and perhaps has a bit of old wood/musty smell... but this is architectural salvaging/picking at its raw best. They could start their own Youtube channel here on all of the cool items...) We found the perfect sized set of well made, interior stair railing/ newels/ balusters for our old house in the back room area of the store for a very good price and in great used condition. (see photo of one section at our house below) Not everything is marked what price it is, but the helpful guy at the front desk knows exactly what's back there. Check back often to see what has come in ~ it is always interesting.

Requested a quote to remove asbestos tape from my ductwork on December 13th. Talked to Mike over the phone requesting a quote. Emailed photos over the same day and he responded. Radio silence ever since. No quote. No scheduling. I will use another company.

Unbelievable how slow and unprofessional this place is. One weigh station where you have to wait in line to weigh your vehicle upon entering and then weigh again to leave, and pay. Zero room to actually back in and dump items; they keep letting vehicles back to wait in line to dump when there’s literally no where to go or park. Office lady came out screaming at our vehicle and another for where we were parked waiting, after she let us through. Same price as the county waste in Rockford or south of town. Save your time, money and sanity.

I have been going to this place since at least 2005! I have bought old glass blocks, old doors, old tin panels! I just bought an old tall wooden box & an almost brand new black 6 drawer vertical file cabinet! I could spend all day rummaging through their vast amount of treasures! Great Customer Service, Great Finds, Great Prices!

I dumped a trailer of trash- $30 (980pounds). The place is like the Wild West. Not much oversight, tons of cars, trucks and trailers "waiting in line". Most folks cannot back up well and everyone waits to get in. The dump area IS inside so kind of nice in the rain but so crowded.

Great company lots of older stuff and various home needs for repair or remodel. Easy for disposal of trash and things not needed any longer etc. Close to us so easier than running to the actual dump. Reasonable prices and even takes yard waste. Great for clearing out clutter and getting reorganized at home.

I pulled the 4'x6' trailer onto the scale and then backed into the building bay. The whole process to drop off materials and stuff was all very easy and the employee was very nice. I will be stopping by again when I get around to remodeling my basement.

Always an interesting trip to make, you never know what you'll end up coming home with. They have a very large selection of doors both indoor and outdoor. A neat selection of antique and old wood trim salvaged from old buildings. And a whole lot more.

We have used this hotel in the past. Rates are all over the place one week they do aaa discount 2 weeks later no aaa discount. No breakfast as advertised due to covid which 2 weeks ago they had at least muffins nothing this time. Smoke detector in room 132 covered with plastic. Room reaked of smoke. Toilet would not flush and nobody seemed to care. Do alot of fishing in more and will be looking for other accommodations. Hotel is on welcome way drive and is nothing but potholes a real welcoming. Stay somewhere else this place is horrible.

Only here to deliver a machine. Guys were very accommodating and great to work with. Their operation looks like it runs smoothly and efficiently for the space they have to work with.

If I could give this business 0*, I would. Let's start with trying to take trash bags to their relay station on Richmond. They were excessively rude, and wouldn't help explain what I was supposed to do. I almost got hit repeatedly by a machine, even though I was doing exactly what he told me to, to get out of his way. Now to today, where they are demolishing a building next door to my house. They didn't give any warnings, and are now blocking my driveway. They're trying to claim they told people, but somehow noone in my building is aware it was going to happen? These people need some customer service skills and a brain, and maybe they'd be a decent company.

Horrible. Rented a dumpster for 2 weeks. Was supposed to be picked up Friday 6/26 and was told that Friday they were busy and would pick it up Monday 6/29 which I was fine with. Then Monday they tell me the person who’s supposed to pick the dumpster up’s truck break down and told me they would pick it up Tuesday. Tuesday they tell me they are busy and Wednesday 7/1 it will be picked up for sure. Then on Wednesday I call back and they said they have no order on file to pick up the dumpster so it will be the week after Monday on 7/6 and the person I talked to is on vacation after constantly reminding them I need the space back where the dumpster is sitting in the driveway!

I use Pitsch for the salvage store which is always a pretty decent experience. It's hit or miss usually, you have to stop by every once in a while. I've found some phenomenal pieces and I've also walked out of there empty handed. The only reason I gave this your stars and not five is because they tried to change me a different price from what they quoted me once and when I needed help wheeling something out from the back, the guy seemed put out about it. Otherwise we've had some great experiences. Expect to do a little digging.

Pitsch is the go to site for anything I need to dispose of. I have cleaned out four garages and dropped and 70 foot pine tree and Potsch took it all. 5 trips. Dumping refuse is $30 minimum. And trees and shrubs is a $15 min. The staff is helpful. It is a popular place for anyone on the northern, so it can get busy. I have found 1:30 pm is a good time. Results may vary.

Rough. It is usually always very busy. I am always in a hurry to get in and out like most everyone else on a schedule there and I rarely get in and out under 30 minutes with a dump trailer. I've left with a full trailer on a couple occasions because there was only 1 or 2 bays open or it was crazy busy.

We recently had an old, leaking screened-in porch removed which the previous owner had built underneath the upper outside deck on our house. From the start, Steven was very professional in response, communication, clarity, scheduling , and follow-up after the job. He handled our request for an estimate better than any other company I contacted. The crew was GREAT -- even in horrible, snowy weather. They worked efficiently, did a really nice job, and did thorough clean-up afterwards. I cannot say enough good about this company and this work crew. I would use them again, in a heartbeat.

Prices are great won't find anyone cheaper probably. However customer service is very bad, no call back for a pick up, a time when they're coming, and the few times we have used them they tore up the asphalt and claimed it wasn't their responsibility. Overall they're very cheap but quality and care is not there. We have again tried to use them and out down OSB so the asphalt does not get ruined. Now they just drive in the grass and ruin sprinkler systems. We've ordered a dozen or so dumpsters and had to replace multiple driveways and fix numerous issues. They claim they are not responsible for anything. I would not recommend unless you have an open area and nocement or asphalt.

Friendly faces but the layout is pretty ridiculous. No room to back in and there is one way to get in and out. Plan ahead when going here as it may take a while. Avoid bringing yard waste to this location as the other location just a few miles away is where they end up having to bring it when it gets too full.

They need separate weighing scales, one going in and one going out. Just like padnos. Would move the lines a lot faster and bring in more money. The long line can waist someone’s day if they have plans. Honestly 2 weighing stations would be better.
