Needed an alternator because mine was shot and was going on a road trip in two days. Ended up sending me the wrong one even though it was tagged correctly. (Not a huge deal. Accidents happen.) But the real problem happened when I went to return it and have them pick it up from the same place they dropped it off at. The driver(who wouldn’t tell me his name) called me and started going off on how he couldn’t find the parking lot and now it’s my fault he couldn’t access it. Was being extremely rude and aggressive for some reason and then told me that he refused to pick it up and was very passive aggressive about it. Even though the building was maybe 50-100 feet away from where he parked. Driver needs to be replaced immediately. I would not allow someone with this kind of attitude or behavior to work for me or represent my company.

It's auto salvage. My husband said his eyes glazed over when we first came into view of all the cars 🤣 I said, "ooooooooh!" Very good customer service! We needed a seatbelt for our rather aging car. They had one at their other salvage yard, the next state over. It was ready for us to pick up, 2 days later! And amazingly enough, they somehow manage to keep track of what must be millions of car parts.

Don't buy an engine from Spalding. I purchased a used engine that turned out to have an oil leak (about 1/2 qt per month). When I called about this, I found out two things: 1. Their claim that they test their used engines doesn't mean the engine is leak-free. 2. Their "parts-only" warranty doesn't include individual faulty parts of the engine. As long as the engine hasn't experienced total mechanical failure, they refuse to cover any issues it might have. There's really no reason to buy an engine from here, their prices aren't very competitive. You could probably find a cheaper engine from a different junkyard or a better refurbished engine from a business like O'Reilly. Spalding's sales experience is good, that's about the only thing they've had going for them in my interactions with them.

Called one day about roof rails pictured on a car, was told the entire car had been dismantled and put on the shelf to be parted out, so it was ready to go and they saved a quote. Called the next day to let them know we were on our way so they could pull our parts and put them in will call and when we were almost onto the freeway there from post falls they called us to say they had basically been seaechijg their lot and lost the entire car. Had no explanation for how they couldn't figure out what their coworker was seeing, was unwilling to re-look up the part, car, etc. Got upset instead of being understanding when I let them know we would not be driving all the way out there for another part that we didn't need, would just have been picking up because we were over in the area.

I went out to Spalding's with my 6 year old daughter to get what I thought was a "easy to find" part. Turns out I was wrong. The yard guy, Kyle Bouvier, searched row after row of trucks to no avail. I told him multiple times that we could throw in the towel and he told me "There's one here and YOU are going home with it". The last truck on his lengthy list was the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Kyle is a VERY hard working young man and his customer service is second to none. I have had a few rough encounters with snotty yard guys, but Kyle is a keeper. He was also very nice to my daughter and she said he's her "favorite truck dude". ......... Thank you Kyle!! 👍🏼

Spaulding auto parts has been a great place to buy used car parts at high quality for good prices, my dad has sold them multiple totaled vehicles, and got more than the insurance claim. Their shipping is great, I just recently purchased a part over the phone, super nice people, and not difficult at all to place an order. The part arrived the next morning. Over all, spalding auto parts has been a blessing, and to talk to someone, and know they are not ripping me off is much more reassuring than buying online .

I live in Indiana and purchased 4 wheels and tires. They were a great price and they shipped very quickly. I was provided a tracking number immediately. They arrived safely since they were packed so well. I noticed a small issue with one wheel and I reached out to Spalding and they responded immediately and went above and beyond to correct the issue and make things right. Junkyards should not be charging core charges. If I had a core that was rebuildable I would have done that, instead of going to a junkyard for a replacement. It would have been the least expensive option if I could have rebuilt it. The point of junkyards is to provide an inexpensive option for people. Charging $200 just because I don’t have one to bring back as a rebuilder is unacceptable. This is a way for them capitalize on someone else’s misfortune. If people are shopping junkyards to keep their transportation going chances are they don’t have extra funds to throw around. Very disappointed in the unwillingness to work with anyone. I even offered up a core from a different make as an option and they said no. I will be looking elsewhere moving forward.

I first took off one wheel. The lady took it to SPALDINGS to get FIXED ( REMEMBER: SPALDING BOUGHT TIRES SPALDING INSTALLED!!! ) when I brought the 2nd flat wheel in ( since lady was at work til evening ), I was told it was the customers fault! I live kind of far away from Spokane so I had a locksmith order a part that my car needed to fix the ignition switch, but it took longer than it should've to arrive which left me without a car for several days and I live out in the country so I can't get around without a car.

The negative reviews on here are so silly. This is an auto parts spot with the same prices as a pick and pull but they will do the work for you. Not to mention send it out to you. I can’t speak about the other workers. Corey was always available to help, and he did so from the first call to the end of our business together. He was way more knowledgeable, polite, and helpful than he needed to be. I left wondering what is the reason they are so especially helpful.

Here is the ebay listing, the photo that was attached, and the one I took when I realized that the heart of the engine was removed; despite reading about a running engine and seeing it for myself in the pictures. When I emailed them about the missing fuel pump (which also is mechanically timed to send fuel to the injectors) I was then told: "We sell our engines as long blocks only, all other ports are for sale until engine is sold". As if I should have known that. I had read "We have gone to great lengths to present these items in their actual condition" along with "6 Month Warranty, Quality Tested Part 1/9/19" and took them at their word. Do buissness with Spalding and you will get burned. At least I can have ebay step in. Who's going to step in when you deal with them personally?
