I purchased a 22r from sunwest in December 2021.Only problem I encountered was a pinched oil pump gasket that leaked after initial start up. not a huge deal and easy enough to fix. I do wish they would have used steel backed timing guides for the 22r timing chain, although that’s not a deal breaker in my book.They are easy to deal with, customer service is on point.If anything changes with the engine I will update this review.

I sent them my 2013 STI EJ2.5 block with a spun bearing, from Ohio, the customer service was extremely helpful, there was some issues with the shipping company on pickup being on EST sunwest did more than expected on helping me get things sorted out. The workmanship is amazing and the prices are very affordable for the level of work. Having videos on their website of the work they do is what made me chose them over the others out there. The final touch I didn't expect but absolutely love was the SUNWEST dog tag on the block It was a little thing but somthing I love since I'm in the Air force it was just that much more.. I will always recomend them to all my subaru and toyota friends as an option.

Shop has horrible communication skills, made it very clear multiple times to give me a call before “assuming” final decisions…like taking my core for 50 bucks…Plz give customers a call Before making decisions without consenting with them first. I called and requested to get my core back and was told they would call me back…now we are playing this game again.

Sunwest rebuilt my 1fz-fe Toyota head, and my Land Cruiser purrs like a kitten, completely silent valvetrain.These people truly are Toyota and Japanese specialists, and are friendly and enthusiastic about their work on top of being more than competent, it shows in the experience AND the final product.A+ experience overall. I took my Highlander to Sunwest for new struts. Monica was great to work with; very professional and knowledgeable, also very friendly. I am very pleased with the work that was done. It was completed the same day and drives much better.Their prices are very competitive and less than the dealer was going to charge.I live in Medical Lake and am happy to support a local business. They did a tune up and replaced a wheel bearing a few weeks ago. Since then my car started running a little rough, slowly getting worse until my check enine light came on. I had my car towed to them and explained what was happening. They looked at it and discovered that a spark plug was bad. They fixed it and didn't charge me. Sunwest told me that since they had put the plugs in recently, there wa no charge. These days, I wouldn't expect an auto shop to not only fess up to using a bad part but to do the work for free has really restores my faith.
