Fantastic, helpful staff both indoors and out. Entire procedure from weigh-in, unloading, weigh-out and payment was efficient and quick. Payment was fair considering it was for stuff I would have thrown in the garbage. The process can be a bit noisy and intimidating for first-timers, but the staff was helpful walking me through it :) I will do business with them again!

I was embarrassed for whom ever owns this business. What a shame....Employees inside at pay booth and also over loud speaker were beyond ignorant. Rude, hatful, and quite frankly could use a little education. Definitely one of the worst environments that I have experienced.

Talked to 4 staff members when I was there. 2 were cool 2 were rude as hell, especially the lady in the office. Zero customer service skills.

First time at this place it was a bit confusing. However they had people that directed us to where we needed to go. Once we unloaded our scrap metal we had to get back on the scale then had to unload the aluminum. We did have to wait for the aluminum guy but he was also very helpful.

Since they moved the new people at the location are much more friendlier and great help since things are different from the last time I was at American Iron & Metal.

Don't go in the last hour that they are open, because it's just not worth it. They do pay the best in town, except for that last hour.Now they are closing 15 minutes early also.I do appreciate the extra cash for recycling discarded metal. However there are other scrap yards in town. And boy oh boy am i gonna catch hell for my opinion.Such is life

They close at random for undisclosed amounts of time so don't plan for them. They are rude, lazy and if you think you are getting a good price think again. One of the worst businesses in CO Springs.

I hope the owners read the reviews occasionally. I have done business with Western Scrap at the Colorado Springs location for years, and I was always extremely happy with them. Since American Iron took over and made Cory the manager it has gone downhill fast. Unless some major changes take place Including some more pleasant people in the office, they will never have my business again.

Was cussed out by all the heavy set woman in the office for trying to ask a question! Then was harassed on the microphone was absolutely humiliated! Was told to leave without pay! These woman need to be fired at the least!!!!
