DO NOT TAKE YOUR SCRAP HERE! I went there 2 weeks ago on a Sunday. I had 300lbs of scrap. heavy steel. I expect to get a little less here, they always pay a little less and my regular place had a long line and I did not have time to wait. When I got there the sign said they were paying $70 a ton for steel. Everyplace else was $17].. I asked the guy why so low and he told me that the price had plummeted just 2 hours earlier. I was very upset, at this price it wouldn't even cover my gas. But I believed him and sold them my steel. He also told me that they did not pay more for heavy steel. I left with $11. When I got home I told my husband what happened and he said , that's impossible. The stock market is not opened on the weekends. He was right, they outright lied to me. If he would have been honest, I would have taken my scrap elsewhere. I do not believe this illegal but its definitely unethical. I went back to try to talk to the owner the other day, and they had a sign up saying that steel had went up some and they were now paying $140. It never went downThey are taking money from people who are just trying to eat, or keep their electric on. STAY AWSY.

DONT GO HERE They scammed me they took off 50% of my weight cause was dirty aluminum and only paid me .12 per lb any other yard I've gone to paid me triple the amount I got from here when I asked why only .12 they said cause it was dirty but that's why they took 50% off my weight so they took me for 50% of my weight and paid 1/3 of the regular price for aluminum all in all I got 9bucks for 130lbs of aluminum ... this place is crooked and pay way under going prices. DONT GO HERE

I will never go to this place ever again. They are a rip-off. I took 2 loads of scrap metal in this weekend. I knew something was not right because the weight. For the 2nd load I went to the truck stop to weigh my truck and then to the re-cyclers to unload. When I got, home I found out that they only paid me for 800 lbs of the 1600 lbs in my truck. I also took in a 5 gallon bucket of clean number 2 copper wire that I know should have weighed 120 lbs but only got payed for 60 lbs. This is the third time they have ripped me off like this in the last 6 months. S & A Metals only paid me 25 cents a pound for clean aluminum siding when they were paying 80 cents a pound for aluminum cans. American Metals only paid half weight for a load of scrap metal. It sure would be nice to find somebody who is a little more honest to do business with.PS The only way I could post this was by designating a star. I didn't want to give them a star period!

I am VERY sorry change my review but to everyone else reading this .DO NOT BOTHER pqying attention to their hours they have listed. We have driven down from Prescott with hundreds worth in scrap. As you can see they have their close time listed as 5:45 pm. When you call, however, the hours will change dependant upon the cashier's mood. We were relying in thus extra cash..i have never experienced such rudeness. It is not my.fault that they are 'tired" or 'had to.work later" last night. CHANGE YOUR HOURS..THEY ARE STILO.LISTED AS.OPEN ON THEIR WEBSITE AND.GOOGLE AS.IM TYPING.According to.other customers this is not.unusual. last week.i had.to advise them.of.a.huge weight discrepancy when our weight is always the exact.same. GO TO GODDESS SCRAP INSTEAD..THEY STICK.TO THEIR HOURS AND PAY MORE.

Pretty cool place i sold some scrap and I thought I was gonna get like 5 bucks actually got more than I thought

I actually had fun turning in my aluminum cans! The guys working were really nice and funny. The pricing for this time was .55 per lbs and I had 20 lbs so I got $11.00. They even helped my boyfriend and I open up all the bags and put the cans in a basket, and would shew the bees away. Good place!

Cool people. Put this place reminds me of Mars and the mechanicus of Warhammer 40K.

Not for the little guys. Unless you're bringing 100+ pounds of steel or 20+ pounds of non-steel, don't bother.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR SCRAP HERE! I went there on a Saturday about a month ago. At that time scrap steel was around $170 a ton everywhere else. They were only paying $70 a ton and telling people that scrap steel had crashed, which was a lie. It wasn't even worth the drive. I realize scrap yards can pay as much or as little as they want, but if your going to be that cheap, the least you can do is not lie about your reason. They were ripping off people who can't afford to be ripped off. Very unethical.

It is a small scrapyard with huge volume. Expect waits, but it's worth it. Besides, who else is open on sunday till 5:30pm. Everyday till 5:30pm.
