This guy wouldn’t let me in because he wanted to close the gate early. Thanks for wasting my clients time. Says close at 4 on google but this guy claims 3:30 they leave at 4. But the week day is somehow the correct closing hours.

Answered my questions with kindness and pricing on a Sunday morning. Only offering $0.40 p/lb for crushed aluminum cans. Other places offer .90 but are never open on Sunday. Quick and easy money for my scrap pile.

I actually had fun turning in my aluminum cans! The guys working were really nice and funny. The pricing for this time was .55 per lbs and I had 20 lbs so I got $11.00. They even helped my boyfriend and I open up all the bags and put the cans in a basket, and would shew the bees away. Good place!

The workers get you through efficiently and the Flow of the place is easy. But for some odd reason thier current scrap prices are half of the official national current rate. 🤔There's your sign.

Just pulled away from this place. Quoted me $45 on the phone and I was very clear about what I was bringing in. Gave me $10 knowing that I wasn’t going to drive back through the lot pick it up and put it back in my truck. Don’t waste your time at this place. I won’t anymore either.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR SCRAP HERE! I went there 2 weeks ago on a Sunday. I had 300lbs of scrap. heavy steel. I expect to get a little less here, they always pay a little less and my regular place had a long line and I did not have time to wait. When I got there the sign said they were paying $70 a ton for steel. Everyplace else was $17].. I asked the guy why so low and he told me that the price had plummeted just 2 hours earlier. I was very upset, at this price it wouldn't even cover my gas. But I believed him and sold them my steel. He also told me that they did not pay more for heavy steel. I left with $11. When I got home I told my husband what happened and he said , that's impossible. The stock market is not opened on the weekends. He was right, they outright lied to me. If he would have been honest, I would have taken my scrap elsewhere. I do not believe this illegal but its definitely unethical. I went back to try to talk to the owner the other day, and they had a sign up saying that steel had went up some and they were now paying $140. It never went down They are taking money from people who are just trying to eat, or keep their electric on. STAY AWSY.

DONT GO HERE They scammed me they took off 50% of my weight cause was dirty aluminum and only paid me .12 per lb any other yard I've gone to paid me triple the amount I got from here when I asked why only .12 they said cause it was dirty but that's why they took 50% off my weight so they took me for 50% of my weight and paid 1/3 of the regular price for aluminum all in all I got 9bucks for 130lbs of aluminum ... this place is crooked and pay way under going prices. DONT GO HERE

I will never go to this place ever again. They are a rip-off. I took 2 loads of scrap metal in this weekend. I knew something was not right because the weight. For the 2nd load I went to the truck stop to weigh my truck and then to the re-cyclers to unload. When I got, home I found out that they only paid me for 800 lbs of the 1600 lbs in my truck. I also took in a 5 gallon bucket of clean number 2 copper wire that I know should have weighed 120 lbs but only got payed for 60 lbs. This is the third time they have ripped me off like this in the last 6 months. S & A Metals only paid me 25 cents a pound for clean aluminum siding when they were paying 80 cents a pound for aluminum cans. American Metals only paid half weight for a load of scrap metal. It sure would be nice to find somebody who is a little more honest to do business with. PS The only way I could post this was by designating a star. I didn't want to give them a star period!

Update; 8/3/22 70$ dirty sheet iron, 80$ clean... prices online are incorrect and will not be paid per, so don't expect it or complain. The market has taken a slide down so expect price drops. Prices posted are per gross ton (2000#). 9/25/21 $135. T dirty sheet thanks for being open your posted hours very much appreciated. Previously $70 ton dirty sheet... yes was there yesterday it was down to $80 from the online posted price of $90 from the week prior. I get fluctuations in market price, wasn't a complaint just report on price at the time. Just so you know who I am and am real in yesterday (Wed.) Between 530 & 545 wht. Truck dropped 2.file cab., h2o htr. Misc. Ticket paid 16...

The workers are pretty polite, but you don't get much per pound of aluminum cans. I got $0.55 per pound of cans. I took in about 30 pounds, which tacos more or less 5 months to accumulate, and ended up with only $16. The thing to pay more for other types of metal. The place is kind of messy, very Industrial, butt at the time that I went, I didn't have a weight, and like I said the workers were nice. They told me the price ahead of time. I also like the hours that they are open. If you want more money per pound of cans, definitely keep looking, which is what I will do next time. I just needed to get the load out of my car, and I couldn't be picky about the price.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR SCRAP HERE! I went there on a Saturday about a month ago. At that time scrap steel was around $170 a ton everywhere else. They were only paying $70 a ton and telling people that scrap steel had crashed, which was a lie. It wasn't even worth the drive. I realize scrap yards can pay as much or as little as they want, but if your going to be that cheap, the least you can do is not lie about your reason. They were ripping off people who can't afford to be ripped off. Very unethical.

They don’t even tell you how much you made until you get to the cashier and the little kid in their thinks he’s some tough gangster. The guy with the patriots hard hat sucks him off on lunch break and threatened to call the cops when all I asked for was to get paid market value. Edgar was the only helpful and good human being at the whole place. Never go here. They are no good for nothing.

Easy ,quick and employee's are pleasant . They make the trip worth it . No hassle or cheating but wish the price for clean metal was higher . They are open later than most places . Easy process in and out . One of my favorites ....p.s. if your bringing say 300 pounds of steel or say 100 pou ds , don't expect to make much on very little pounds . Bring 2,000 pounds or better . Get a big truck or uhaul and load it up full and heavy and then bring it here or any scrap metal places to make money . I made anywhere for low $12.00 to high $128.00 . I don't plan on getting rich on steel but maybe copper . If I want to make money I work and work hard to make money... I'm happy with what I get and if I'm not happy I don't return to the place . Here the process is quick and easy .

I won’t go back spent a couple hours Strippin wires had a nice big ball of copper I weighed it at my house before I left it was between 12 and 15 pounds respectively. When I arrived at the yard spoke with the gall in front she said talk to the man over there so I went over there asked a few questions, was treated like I didn’t even exist never got any answers to any of my questions and I had several All I got was I need your ID and look up, I said why he said so I can take your picture and then go back over there referring to the gall in the front. He never told me the weight! ! ! I didn’t find out that 4 pounds was all they were giving me so I got a whopping seven dollars didn’t even cover my fuel to get to the place I guarantee I was ( shorted ) on the weight there’s more to my story but it’s not worth it .... very disrespectful place customer service is definitely not a priority I wouldn’t go there if I was you and I won’t go back thanks for reading!!! Capt. D. Darryl Lawton This part of the review goes to the owner after just reading your reply to my review I got news for you I wouldn’t take the time to give you a poor review if your employees didn’t rip me off matter fact I would be more than happy to give you a positive review except for the fact I’ve done business with other scrap yards and I never got treated like your people treated me and I don’t appreciate being shorted on the weight my scale is not off !!! yours is....Try looking up my ticket number if you have any questions you can contact me anytime if you don’t have a record of me it’s because your employees didn’t want you to see what they did it’s not an accusation it’s a straight up fact your people ripped me off.... ticket #105584. I just read some other reviews I have a question for the owner almost every negative review that I read you said there was no record of that person doing business with your operation I wonder why ? Could it be your computer isn’t the best or possibly your employees don’t want you to have a record of the people they rip off ????have a nice day D. Lawton

EDIT: Aaron Tiles should have made $50 for his and you gave him $24 but I’m not surprised Their own inability maintain the pricing THEY set is abhorrent, they could be much more successful, considering everyone is playing at a willingness to be helpful; even if now I realize it was only a ploy to hide their patronizing... As of 2/20/21 $135/T is their signed contracted pricing for Clean Sheet, I did turn in a plethora of other items to see if they would abide by their own standards set as I had seen my husband taken advantage of on more than one occasion, but he simply had no idea of the atrocities that were happening; thus I figured should I bring it to their attention surely it would be remedied. That was not the case. My beginning weight the first go round was 6,040 lbs by the time I was done purging the steel I had it was down to 5, 520 lbs only 520lbs of weight shed but at $.14/LB that should equate to around $70, yes? Apparently not, “IBuyScrap” felt I was only due for $35.10 of their own capital. Now, I’m not sure if that’s a LORG sum off the top as a part of using their ‘services’ (even though there is no signage or small print on the receipt contractually owing a portion of the payout to speak of) or if they’ve just gotten away with doing this for so long because a great many people are unable to do the math for themselves and/or know what or how to take steps to ensure this sort of reprehensible “business” is taken care of for future patrons. (I did try to be nice and act ignorant myself whilst I was there, I said that the math didn’t add up to see if they would help me, I was more than cordial I was extremely kind to everyone and instead of reaching out like a decent human being- you had the audacity to laugh at me; all they want to do is take advantage of those unable to get help so for this repugnant lack of morality I am absolutely NOT SORRY!) The first step is to make a Google review of your own, because they help to make sure that businesses with higher reviews get seen first and guys like these scammers dont get business they don’t deserve! The next thing is to go to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and make a formal complaint like I have, as well, if they’re going to keep manipulating customers then swindling them out of their goods without fair payment of their own advertised prices; then they damn well should pay for it. Heres a cheat sheet to help anyone who might thing they’ve been swindled by these jerks: $135 - or whatever stupid number they come up with to make you think you’re getting a lot of money, you really have to divide that by 2000 because that’s how many lbs are in a ton and right now the “market value per ton of Clean Sheet is $135” so 2000/135 = $14.81 Then move the decimal over twice to the left so you have the measly change that they’re actually paying you per lb. They always use the PPT=$135 because if you went up to any of these places and saw the real prices they’re paying you, which are all less than a dollar per lb no matter which item you’re scrapping, they’d likely never have any consumers pfftt so the TRUE number = $.14/lb in this case! That means every time you get your after weight you can take that and multiply it by the price per lb like my first weigh in let’s do this together! 6,200 starting and 5,580 after leaves a difference of 620 so we’re going to take 620 or 600 to make it easy and times it by .14 like this in your basic math calculator 600 x .14 = and that will let you know how much should have been there instead of $41.85; there’s no reason why they can’t just give you what’s advertised and if they can’t afford it, DONT SAY SO!

Was here yesterday, 8/8/17, they weren't busy. The guy took my bag of aluminum cans from back of my car, weighed it and told me to walk over to the window to collect the cash. I was paid $3 for 5 lbs. It was a quick transaction. I dont know the current rate for aluminum cans.

They say they have a different price for shiny copper but when I bring in solid copper I get copper#2 not cool, when I go in they have 2 scales the second one when u look at it, it fluctuates by its self no weight on it from 2lbs to 0 back and I believe that's not an accurate reading so what I do is weigh it my self take a pic and then have them weigh it as I did one time and was off 5 lbs.

Gosh. The lady that answered the phone was very rude. I had sent an email off their website, requesting the price for a four drawer metal file cabinet. Since I hadn’t heard back, I called them with the same questions. She said metal is .07/lb. Her office radio was blaring in the background, making it very difficult to have a conversation. I asked her if she had any tips on how to take the drawers out so I can transport it down to your center. She said they take it in one piece. But I said, I can’t bring it to you in one piece. She avoided my question. I thanked her and said sorry for the trouble! This employee leaves me aghast in her customer service skills. Maybe I’ll just toss the cabinet in the dumpster. A lot less trouble!
