The processes and roles for employees and customers didn't seem clear. I interacted with eight different people while I was there. There were people jumping in and out of the process while my aluminum was being weighed. I see a number that didn't make sense on the scale and someone signed my ticket but nobody really talked to me much during the process. When I went to the cashier, the wrong name and address was on the receipt. They had to fix it. I was glad I stopped at the office. The check would have gone to someone else. It seems like having more clear processes and roles would make a for a better experience, particularly for new customers. For example, it would be really easy for the employee to say, "You have 87lbs of aluminum at $0.80 per pound, they'll cash you out up front. Look for a sign that says cashier."

First time visit over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Staff was very kind from beginning to end. Super helpful and really helped us understand the process. Was able to make a little extra money and didn't add my items to the local landfills.

I knew going to a scrap yard I would get ripped off but I did not expect to actually get robbed. Before coming I called to verify how much they pay per pound. When I arrived I tried to verify prices again and informed I wasn’t going to sell unless the prices was the same as I was previously informed. The worker did not respond to me just started speaking Spanish to his coworker and started weighing my computer scrap. I repeated myself multiple times and got the same response. So after all of my computer scrap was taken I was given a ticket and told to give it to the front office. I asked how much I was being given and was not given a response just got to hear the worker speak Spanish and laugh with his coworker as they was taking my scrap. Once I got to the office was informed they wasn’t going to pay me that day even know I not once was informed I wouldn’t get paid that day then I was told they wasn’t giving me 108$ which was over 100$ less than I should of got if they paid me the same price as I was told over the phone. When I tried to say this wasn’t acceptable and I wanted my stuff back I was told it’s Oregon law and my check would be in the mail Tuesday. So they lied about price per pound but didn’t let me know until after all of my stuff was taken but they wouldn’t give it back and I still haven’t gotten paid.
