The people at chico scrap are friendly and helpful, plus they are on point so the whole process goes pretty quick. I visit there almost daily and have never really had any issues. Im glad they are still here and would recomend them to anyone.

They do their best despite being the only recycling center in Butte county it seems. Be prepared for lines and 20 - 30 min. wait times.Don't be a boomer and try u-turning your truck at the gate while people are pulling up and end up ripping a gash down the whole side of your truck with the gate.Or do. I don't care.

Everyone helps each other when here. I use a walker and had 5 year old grandson helper, but such a helping spirit is always present here. Wish it wasn't closing for CRV recycling.

NO CRV (cans, plastic and bottles) Sadly, they've lost the ability to recycle these items for Chico. We all have to go out of town now :(

Tried to take in my recycling close to closing time on Friday but couldn't find anywhere to park. The parking spaces were over-run with homeless people on foot and bike...no mask, gloves, nothing. I know it's not the fault of Chico Scrap so I still give them full stars for always being helpful and friendly. And thankfully they are just about-if not the only recyclers open during this pandemic. But I worry a little about the crowd and the fact that there are no precautions being taken among them what-so-ever... so unfortunately my recycling will have to remain in my car until tomorrow.

EXCELLENT PLACE. GOOD WORKERS TOO. I CANT BELIEVE THEY ARE SHUTTING THE PLACE DOWN FOR GOOD. HEARD THEY ARE OPENING A NEW SPOT NEAR THE TOWN DUMP. WHERE WILL THE HOMELESS GET THEIR CASH NOW? 😔

I work there. I'm the scales dude. We are very busy! We are the only recycling place around. We still welcome everyone who wants to recycle, get rid of scrap metal, brass, copper, scrap aluminum, etc. We also take some appliances for a small fee. Come on by and see us.
