I rented a truck to help my son move. It was a Saturday. I figured I could clear out the year's worth of copper communication wire scrap I had in the garage. Since it was Saturday, Aaron's metals was closed and I had to return the truck. I felt stuck. As soon as I pulled in I could tell this wasn't a place that typically handles low voltage communication cable. I decided to see what they would give me. 655lbs. at .40 cents ended up being $262. Aarons pays a minimum of 2.40 a pound. I wanted to stop the transaction. I was overwhelmed. I showed the cashier my electrical cert and was told I'd still have to wait for the check. The waiting period wasn't the issue. I was really upset and decided to call their office the next day. I knew it was a long shot. This is where the story gets better. They asked me to verify my company's business address and The locations (it was a year's worth) where I got the wire and was told they would cancel the sale so I could pick it up. They did not have to do that and they went above and beyond to allow me to do that. Aaron's would have paid me $1,500 not $262 for that wire. Moral of the story. Great staff. Kind people. Just don't take your copper communication wire there.

Excellent place for recycling, as well as purchasing industrial equipment of all types, valves, Motors, Pumps and fittings of all types sizes and configurations. There is excellent selection of industrial electrical panels, plugs and connectors including large and small hand tools. No matter what you need, there's a good chance there's two or three of them out there military surplus or industrial scrap. Mike and Ken are two of them the most knowledgeable guys I have ever met in this industry. Are there frequently go there to Source various fittings and pieces for repair and redesign projects, their prices are fair with new inventory arriving by the hour. I suggest that if you see something you like buy it that minute. There's a good chance it will not be there the next day. They can be Dusty and dirty in the yard so wearing old or work clothes.. Up Date... they've recently got in a large amount of used tool boxes industrial parts, big circuit breakers switches. A maintenance man's dream pick your part. Also if you're restoring a classic fire engine or collect antique fire equipment. If you speak with the manager, they have a few items stashed away,

If I had the option to give 0 stars, I would. These people are unprofessional and very rude, and liars! Especially the gentleman’s that stand outside. I got there on a Saturday where they said they close at 3:30 but take the last customer at 3:20 but when I got there, they told me they take the last customer at 3:10. I’ll spare you all the extra terrible details but I tried to reach a manager over two weeks ago and never received a call back. So professional! I will never use this business again and recommend you don’t either. Save yourself the time and headache, and search elsewhere. I ended up taking my recycle to recyclingzone in Pittsburg they were pleasant and efficient!

I’ve been there so many times and the staff there are very competent. They have a well organized area to even buy metals and scrap off to the right past the gate. I’ve seen the reviews and a lot of those reviews aren’t true. They have gone many changes and have improved throughout the year and I encourage those who have had a bad experience there to at least try again because I know your next time there will be different. Just make sure to follow all the rules posted around the yard.

They do not accept metal or steel. Even if you say you have metal and steel. They will tell you were to put it. But not even let you know they accept it but only allowed to donate it. So if you don't want money back from metal, steel etc. Don't come here. They waited til we had everything out before telling us they don't accept it unless you want to donate it. So they wanted us to not want the hassle of putting back into the car. Unfortunately I need the money so junk is going back to my car. Don't waste your time, read reviews before taking it out. .. On top of that. If you don't do construction. They will give you a waiting period. 3 days to get money back for cooper /cords etc. Which is also a low ball cause they want money so under pay you on top of waiting. Such a pain.

Delta Scrap & Salvage no longer accepts CRV Recycling as of Jan 15 2025.

Wow I just called them asking for a price for brand new in box copper fittings and brass valves and was told they only pay 1.75 a pound. That’s unbelievable that’s less then half the price
- MM D
This has got to be one of the worst recycling scams in the Bay Area take your stuff anywhere else and you’ll make more money. They offered me .40/lb on electrical wire which I can get 2.00+/ lb no problem at other recyclers. This place is 100% preying on its customers. I will never return and never recommend this dump of a business. Aarons in Hayward and Oakland is 1000 times better so save yourself the trouble and just go there first. The extra drive will be covered by how much more they will pay you(and they pay cash not a check).
- NNolan Glock
Don't take your car batteries, they pay per battery not by the pound, it's a complete rip-off. Their prices for other items seem suspiciously low as well.
- RRebecca Salari
When you pull up there's zero instruction on what to do. Glad i was behind people to see the drill. When you enter you have to stop at a stop sign and then just wait until they come on the speaker (fyi in Spanish) to tell you to move forward. You sort recycling in wire bins yourself and then the guys will help you to bring them up. As for payment, that needs to be made a lot more clear. They give you a check??? I've never in my life been given a check for recycling! From Southern Cal to here. Huh? But the guys who work there are super helpful. Other than that, I'd rather go someplace else that has signs on what to do and are clear on how you'll receive payment. The vibe here felt I was in Mexico.

This business is racist, they have a Native American metal art peace that looks like propaganda. I took my money back for my radiator that they tried to low ball me for 1$. It was brand new and my last radiator I recycled which was busted and used yielded me 5 bucks. Inflation! Hello!
- JJames Henning
This place ripped me off for my number one copper they gave me $1.75 a pound crazy like half of what it’s worth. I wonder who’s pocket that’s going in

This is way overdue review remembered when I past by there the other day I had to write review. Had a big clean up job had called about 20 diff recycle company's and no one could help.. finally emailed Mike to see if he could help me with job .. so thankful he was able to help he def had the man power to do it and he got the right equipment for the job. On the day of job it was organized, he communicated very well with my sister and I, had trucks coming and going as he was loading them he made it work. Nice person.. and followed thru with his word. Thank you!

This place is a rip off. Every time I've brought in a half van I received $80 to $100. Brought in the van filled to the top with only a place for me to sit. They gave me $60. Never ever going back. Not worth your time. The answer I got from the lady is that what it weighs. How does more weigh less? Shady business
- WWill Leroy
They make next to nothing on glass so they limit you to one barrel per trip. Big plus here is you don't need to remove the caps off bottles and you should empty the water out or you get hit with a "water factor". I can and will vouch for the weight masters... They have no reason to cheat. They're paid by the hour... The price on bottles is not arbitrary. Great people, the owner is in business though and may not categorize metals as much because it complicated... In closing I would say that most people don't get that or know he gives back to community in grants and scholarships. Been going there many years. Totally love the place.
- SSamuel Hernandez
Do not sell here you be scammed. First no helpful employees. Secondly no prices stated anywhere. Third you don’t see the total value of what you are selling until you have to sign paperwork.
- AAdrian Rodriguez
The old bald man with glasses was super unorganized and yelling and cussing at the workers, when I confronted him about it, he laughed it off and said “well there’s a reason I’m here and there other there”. Those workers deserve to be treated better, it was absolutely disgusting how that man was acting towards them, especially because they couldn’t defend themselves because they spoke very little English
- KKATIA RAHAL
First time visiting this place...will not recommend to visit mid day while the staff takes their lunch break. All staff take their break together, so if you happen to be unaware of their schedule (not posted anywhere in the facility) you will encounter not very helpful staff. Over all the visit was not very pleasant at all.
- DDanny Vicuna
This is a place where you can get rob. I had 2 big containers like a garbage bins filled with crushed soda cans and pressed plastic bottle containers. Those were really heavy. They only paid $25 for everything. I saved these recycles for about 3 years just to pay me $25 for everything. They take advantage to everybody because they knew they do not have competition in this area. What a good business.
- TTimothy Peterson
These guys offer less then market value on the recycling they do accept like the cans and bottles. Don't give you anywhere near what the crv should be. Then when you have large scrap pieces let's say like some car parts, they say we are only willing to take those as donations no money and even then it's only if they have space and they want to accept your donation. So they pay you less then what your cans are worth and will not pay or sometimes even accept the industrial stuff. Total rip off hope they shut them down
- MMichael Hoptry
went there the first time, allowed sorting no issues.. noticed I got jipped based on what i had because it is always about the same when I go. got more than $10 less than I normally get. Plus this time they didn't allow me to sort even though last time they did. very upset.. They could have said ok next time please do it. WILL NEVER GO BACK>>
- VVictor Johnson
The guys that work there are usually fast and helpful. However, their is a lady that works in the office who power trips and is rude as hell.
- ttwon gotme
They stereotyped me., When I turn in my plastic bottles and can. They made me give them my license plate number and didn't ask anyone else for there license plate number and they had as much recyclable as I did..... talking about they need it in case the police looking for a vehicle..

First of all very unfriendly staff that doesn't seem to care about the customers. Second, I brought 241 pounds of scrap metal which was 90% aluminum, I know this because I spent hours separating all the metals to get the most money I could. When I get there they tell me to put it ALL in one bin, so I figured I had just wasted my time separating. When they paid me the receipt said the material was steel which is the most inexpensive metal there, so I got $7... I wanted to take it all back but they had already dumped the metal somewhere else. Lesson learned, check the reviews first I guess...

Great service for recyclables. Downside is the dirt. Really very dusty in good weather, and muddy as heck in the rainy months. You have no choice but to track mud into your car. That's the only reason I don't give 5 stars. Update: Went this morning and was cheated out of about $9. Weight was figured wrong. By the time it's calculated, you can't dispute it as your cans have already been disposed of. Very disappointed.
- TThomas Eames
Lesson Learned! I ALWAYS read the reviews BEFORE going somewhere new to recycle my scrap because I have been screwed before by the apparently same type of greedy, dishonest, inconsiderate, and cheating business owners as this place is run by, at least according to all the negative reviews I have just read. Therefore, my experience to share is this: READ THE REVIEWS before you take the recyclables that you might work very hard at accumulating, to save yourself the heartache you would experience, such as those people who DIDNT read the reviews beforehand! This place is probably exactly as people say it is...a complete ripoff! Sounds like the place in Oakland has a lot of great reviews, so that's my next business to research before I waste my time and gas at my own expense and loss, if I was to make a bad decision. But of course, that's not gonna happen, because I work to hard and spend much free time picking up all the money people throw away into the trash, on our streets, in the bushes, and everywhere else lazy and inconsiderate people choose to discard their nickels and dimes instead of recycling their beverage containers with a CRV stamp on it. They see garbage. I see $$$ signs, and A LOT of them all over the place!! I have 50, Yes, I stated FIFTY, extra large 45 Gallon Heavy Duty bags, full of beverage containers to recycle now. I've been collecting these for the last 12 months or about the time Covid lockdown was initiated. I don't want to make a poor decision of taking them to a place like Delta, so I best continue my research if I'm to get the most money for my efforts in Keeping America Greater than those other dirty, unclean, poor, crime ridden countries like parts of Weidownt Resical, Republic of Phucoff or Whokares Distroi DaPlaunet, Puckface. These places are so bad, they fail to exist anymore. Is that what you want here? If so, just go to Delta. They will make it happen.

Nothing has changed. Still a rip-off joint. I was offered $1.05 per pound #1 copper, had done my research and knew that was bs, took it to Concord and $2.18 per pound. Thanks to the homeless dude recycling cans who saw what I had and said I’d be better off taking it to Concord. I love to support local business but this place .....no.
- JJustin Groom
Horrible recycling center. Must have all recycling separated before arriving. I'm. It spending money on extra bags to sort through at my house just to throw away new bags for you to have separated. Never getting my business again. I'd rather drive the extra ten minutes to concord. TRASH
- TTravis Huff (ignorant people)
Generally nice people, very productive and quick. I didn't feel like they gave alot of money for my amount but they're open more often than other times
