Pick-n-Pull JunkYard Reviews
3.8 stars based on 30 reviews- AA.I.M
This PICK-N-PULL located in Richmond, CA at a great location. The junkyard is really big but does not have a too much car. I think maybe a few hundred cars they have in the yard. Most of their car are really old models.

Horrible experience here. Long story short- rude customer service and don’t bother paying for a warranty on parts because they won’t honor it and even point to the sign above their head saying “Parts sold as is”. I felt this particular location was a scam

Looking for reasonably priced, quick installation windows? Here you go! Would have given 5 stars but deducted for not telling me there would be additional charge for the sealant or whatever the heck that black stuff is called. $10 could have gave me a gallon of gas...😒.
- RRobert Bohrer
This is the second time I've paid the $4 entrance fee to find that some car that the website inventory checker says is in the yard, is actually not there. I won't come back again.

always new cars and a great place to find parts. open all the time and the staff is super nice and super helpful. Especially Kerry.

When you pay minimum wage here, you get monkeys as workers. The only competent and diligent worker here is Robert. All the rest are lazy, and have a rotten attitude. Especially the fat and glassed guy at the entrance. He talks so much to the customer that i ended wasting 10 minutes in line, and now they're closing. Could've pulled the part in the 10 minutes that you mismanaged the entrance line. Classic. Schnitzer steel are making hand over fist with these pick and pulls, you'd think they'd train and make the place better. Typical complacent and back dated corporation.

I would give them negative rating but unfortunately 1 star is the lowest rating. They gave me 4 hour window to pick up my car. Three hours into the window I called as they were to call an hour before to confirm which they did not. I had taken time off of work to accommodate their schedule. When I called them if they are still coming to pick up my car, they made some lame excuse about ‘driver’ being busy with other pickups’ and that they won’t be able to pick up my car. Absolutely inexcusable and unprofessional way of doing business. But also they are in Richmond - what was I thinking?
- LLowell-James Hicks
The Richmond location has a large inventory, and the staff I've dealt with twice is pretty friendly and competent. How ever, unlike every other PnP in the Bay Area, they do not answer their telephone at the "Store". No message option, no caveat that no calls will be answered, just phone ringing fifty times. Super inconvenient if you have a question not answered via the web page.

Had an appointment 3 days in advance. They gave me a 4 hour “window “ for pickup of my vehicle. I called 3 and 1/2 hours in to ask and I was rudely told they don’t need or want my car now and to call someone else. Driver was too “busy”. I said OK.

Very affordable, but make sure to bring your tools and help .

Went here to get a pre- inspection to retire my car for the Clean Cars For All program from the BAAQMD. Arrived at about 11am and went to the selling office. The wait was minimal at the time and I was helped within 5 minutes. The staff was very nice and helpful and I was done with inspection within 10 minutes. They only had to check the title and other required paperwork and the driving inspection was quick since she saw me turn on the car and drive it to the front of the office. Lol. Now my next step is to buy a car and turn in my old car. I had questions about the process of turning in my old car after getting a new car and the staff was helpful in telling me the summarized steps and offered that they will help me and guide me when the time comes. Update 12/27/2022. Came back here to retire my old car for the last time. It was sad and depressing. Took my paperwork to the vehicle buying counter, the staff was very friendly and professional. They handled all the paperwork and only asked a few questions and signatures. They explained everything that was going on and what to expect to happen next. They asked me to drive the car up to the office for processing and leave the keys with them. I asked the nice girl if she could do me one favor and take one last picture of me with my old car. She understood and was very nice about it and took great photos. After a few more minutes everything was fine processing abs I left the office and took one last look at my car and gave it a couple love taps, said my final farewell and I was on my way thinking that I will hopefully see my car recycled in another product.

This place needs an honest review. Lot entrance fee is $2.00 Bring your own dolly. They have some, but they get taken quick and there's only (4). They do NOT rent tools. Imports are closest to the entrance/exit, and domestics are a little walk all the way to the back. Lastly, there are porto potties in the lot. It's what's expected from a pick and pull. Good spot in my opinion.

Poor experience trying to buy a car. Went there on a Sunday afternoon to see a Toyota 4runner for sale in the builder section. There were two guys who were ahead of me looking at the car as well and only one employee to help, and that was fine, but the car wouldn't start (typicall) but I stood there an hour while these guys tried to jump start it, then diagnose a starter problem, then enlist help from passer by's and it went on and on. After they gave up and left with out buying it, I said I wanted it and I would give $200 more than the asking price just to be told that they promised it the the other guys tomorrow. when did pick n pull get in the business of selling promises? I thought they sold car parts. They told me to come back tomorrow and if the guys hadn't bought it they would sell it to me. Bad business practice.

Pulled a Dana 60 for my obs ford from this yard from the very back corner and one of the workers with a forklift (I think his name was Craig) came over on his break to help me get it up to the front to load it into my pick up. First time in a very long time a worker went well above and beyond to help. Highly recommend for large items like axles and engines to find Craig, he's the man

Worse employee. I have to come 2 times just to make pre inspection.arrived here then , employee want to go to lunch and wait more than 50 minutes again. Think twice before you came here

Searching for parts was ok. I was told that 2003-2007 cd/radio player would fit my 2007. Took it home, it didn’t fit. I did get store credit. Hoping to find the parts I need. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 All in all I had a good first experience. Prices are low! Love that!

Only game in town for self service auro salvage yard. Prices have gotten too high but for older cars sometimes this is the best option. Yard is not as well organized as it once was, and this digital sign in is way too complex and slow. They seem to be doing better with environmental care. The one vehicle I went for had it's vin number posted incorrectly.
- ggladys johnson
They had the vehicle's I needed. But the walk to get to them was horrendous!!! It's all rock's! And trying to get any kind of dolly or cart through there is not a pretty sight!! Other than that, there's a lot of inventory
- SSeeger G
Lotta work to pull parts... I wish they'd let me ride my bike...and not charge enough for me to say "forget about it" . They'd get more business. Usually have my make and models though.
- OOld Guy
The store is rather small compared to some of their locations, but the staff has gotten much better in attitude than it used to be, actually now reasonably pleasant and helpful. Just wish the truck section was closer to the front entrance instead of being all the at the rear of the store.
- DDon Cowger
Got a transmission for my van for only $150 with a year warranty! Tranny has worked great over a year now. I'm happy with them. As far as people losing tools- come on, use some common sense. As for them not answering phones promptly- come on, they're a junkyard!
- ZZavdi Aniela Zuliani
Great selection, found two 2003 Avalons and was able to pull off a fender, bumper and headlight in great condition for a superb price. I'll definitely come back when I need more parts! :D
- NNancy Capoodles Michael McDonald
Customer service was great. Manager is very understanding and will listen to your questions and will help and resolve any issues you may have.
- gguillermo jimenez
Just ok! Great on 50% off sales (that usually take place on Main Holidays) I'll recommend to go online 1st to see if Car you looking for is at the yard. Don't come here thinking you'll find what you are looking for, if that's the case I strongly suggest you go directly to the one in Newark.
- DDebra Banta
Very courteous and accommodating to my Desperate Need of Exchanging a Tire & Wheel for the ONE I needed for my Utility Trailer. Although the walk was long I found Exact one and it was already off the Jeep Grand Cherokee. And it fit my trailer Perfectly!

It's a good junkyard nice and neat and well organized and you can ask the attendant what car you looking for and I can give you a receipt with the cars directions and location but in my opinion they hold onto the car's too long those car should be in and out in 7 days so you can have fresh parts that when they come in but they hold on to their cars for like 30 days it's just nothing left no reason to do that that's not good business
- jjakeira Colon
I give it two stars some of the people live there they have good attitudes but I know two ladies in the office a very funky attitude like today when I went to go sell my car she had a funky attitude cuz I was trying to decide if I want to give it to them or put as for sale sign on to get more just had a nasty attitude in the beginning and like it and have to be like that taking care of business wow
- SSophia Gonzales (Sophie)
Be prepared to pull parts out of the cars yourself and bring your own tools. It takes time too look at their inventory and then actually work on getting the parts out. Good prices and a wide selection of cars.
