Not cheap like scrap/ junk yards used to be. Some smaller parts are better value buying new. But great for big stuff like engines or seats.

Location is advertised closed at 6pm I arrive at 5:30 to be greeted by an employee shouting (yes, shouting lol). It's a salvage yard so I suppose most are prepped for an encounter with Ugly -of the mechanical and mouth breathing variety. The bar continues to be set low by the individuals running this place but hey it's been here forever. If you can afford it, run away. This is not the local business you want to support.

Everything is too expensive I recommend to better buy new parts because they're almost the same price you'll end up wasting more time going to pick and pull if the part ends up not working or fitting a relay fuse is 8 bucks brand new at dealer or Auto parts 9 to 10 dollars the brand new ones are guaranteed to work and they still give you life warranty but if the one in Pick-n-Pull doesn't work then it's going to be a double trip and then if you go get another one and it's still not working it's just a waste of time at the end of the day then some of the guys that work there are always in a bad attitude mood the ones that are checking you in seems like they don't like their job why they don't quit and get a job of their choice it's not our fault you don't like your job to give us an attitude they want to stay on their phone all day without being bothered in order to not give you an attitude many people need a job and they're willing to do it right 👍

How about getting lost in a sea of junked cars. So many cars. So many choices. This is the man's mall. Bring your tools and water. Bring food and get ready to some picnic and shopping

Any valuable old bmw from 87-02 gets stripped of all it’s value before ever hitting the lot for the public. With photos from arrival being 2 week old until it hits the lot. I’ve encountered this multiple times by seeing a completed car in a photo then arriving before the doors open and see the car totally stripped. Something needs to done about this… it’s not fair.

This is the place to go if you got couple hours on weekends and wanna save on own car repairs. You just pay 2buks walk in and pull your car parts. They have online list for vehicles in stock. Parts are way way cheaper than buying new

I travelled here today with a friend, who was dropping off a car for the buy back programme. We had a little trouble finding the place and arrived a little frazzled. The lady that helped us was incredibly kind and made the whole process as easy as she could for my friend. There is a little wait involved, but this is beyond their control so it did not impact on the great service we received.

Man it’s over…. 2 mins till closing, and they’re done for the day; the manager was kind enough to hear me out, after getting in the gate they got the guy who’d helped me earlier who remembered me. Thanks miss Traci

Great place, lots of good inventory. Got exactly what I needed for a small fraction of what it costs new and so far it's working just fine. Only 4 stars because the wait to get in was a little long, the tablets they use for the waivers were not cooperating. Also the bathrooms were dirty and the sinks were out of water. But other than that great experience and fresh, diverse assortment of inventory.

This place is awesome. Living on a tight budget makes Pick n Pull an important part of saving money for my family. Great customer service at this place with lots of cars in stock. The yard stock changes frequently, so don't sit on a car you see because it might not be there too long.

Great place to find used parts at fair prices. I like that they generally get folks through the line efficiently, and even let you use your admission receipt at other locations on the same day. Fancy digital waiver and tablets for payment add to the efficient operation.

Always check their inventory online first. The online inventory will tell you which location has the vehicle you r looking for. Also, there is a price list online. That way you know how much the part is going to cost.

Cheapest place to find used OEM parts if you don't mind pulling them yourself. Weekly sales make it worthwhile. Only downside are the savage backyard mechanics that destroy the cars trying to remove one part.

What a horrible experience dealing with the staff at this location, and the visit lasted 6 hours… first off the staff here is very rude and unprofessional, they did not want to awnser any of my questions, told me to wait until my number was called, I had to wait for 6 hours to be told I forgot a piece of paperwork. I decided to try the Palo Alto location, and I recommend you do the same! At the Palo Alto location I was helped within 5 min, the staff were very helpful & didn’t waste hours of my time. Avoid this place!!!

AVOID the Oakland location and go to the Richmond Pick-n-pull. I would give the Oakland yard a ZERO if I could. Unprofessional, rude, and slower than molasses. I got there at 3pm for a state approved vehicle retirement, and was told to return the next day because two hours before closing was not enough time for processing. Called the corporate office and was told as long as I was there before 4pm, they are required to process. Corporate representative asked me to hand my phone to the clerk. Afterwards she tosses my phone on the counter and bitterly says to "stand outside in the parking lot for your turn". I asked how would you know my turn, since you haven't even asked for my name, she replies you'll be the last person I call. Outside there were 2 couples. I asked how long have they been waiting. One couple had been waiting for 4 hours. Although the corporate reps were very prompt and friendly, it was clear this location clerk was not going to be much help. By contrast, I drove the next day to the Richmond location. Clean and organized office. Friendly and helpful clerk, helped me fill all the paperwork, called their corporate office to ensure they were aware of the transmission for approval. In and out in less than an hour (48 min to be exact). Well worth the extra 20 min drive if you need to retire a vehicle.

Terrible, if you need any parts from doors good luck, there's little to no space in that junk yard of a business location. One lady is very kind at the check out location everyone else is just there to get their money and leave before its closed and the "security" is a joke and repeat the obvious like a broken bee gees album

Found the small part I needed with a little luck & help from nice guys who removed it for me! Look on their website to find your make/model & remember the row of the closest years to yours & go to each one & hopefully you'll find the part you need! It's only $2 to get in & start your search but watch your step cuz people leave stuff all down the isles!

Believe it or not, this is one of the better Pick-n-Pulls in California. Great inventory, cars aren't picked over too badly. Really sketchy area, but once inside the gate, the security guard is armed, and very professional.

Really chill and cheap to get in. They leave you alone and let you get what you need. I gave it 4 stars due to the fact that they were so chill that they ignored your existence. If you need help with something it was almost impossible to get them to acknowledge your presence. If you know exactly what to get and where to go, this place is a utopia for you.

I can't believe some of these reviews people pissed off cause they have to pull out there own parts. Obviously too stupid to even read the name of the place!!! My only issue is the cars are not where they say they are and it was 104 degrees today and had to search the whole place and couldn't find the car a 2000 ford ranger. They should also have more coverings at the cashier area so your not baking in the sun waiting to pay. Be a little more caring of the customers... you would probably make a lot of money pulling windshields and having a section for auto glass

Went to retire a vehicle there - representative behind counter was one of the rudest, unprofessional, unfriendly persons I have ever met in my entire life. I sympathize with her for What is surely a sad and pathetic life that leads her to treat people the way I was treated. Asked a simple question about approx how long the process would take - was told 30 min to 4 hours - at 3:30 PM I could not wait for 4 hours so I asked if it really could be 4 hours- she did not answer and told me I was impatient for asking. Talk about the cat calling the kettle black. I will take the advice of others who had a similar experience here and go to the Richmond office - no one could be as bad as this person it could only be an improvement. I hope that that woman finds something that provides her happiness in this life - because she sure isn’t happy at her job.

Very unhappy with this Oakland location! I've been conversing with them via phone with requirements on donating a vehicle for the small fee they offered just to get the run around and be misinformed. Obtained the required Transfer Record (Junk Cert) from DMV on Friday and decided to go the NBD to show proof of documents obtained. The business hrs are 8-5 daily so I showed up Saturday at approx. 4:45ish to find out the staff had left for the day. Went back the NBD - Sunday to be then be informed the staff called out COVID. Went back the NBD - Monday to be informed I needed to be there before 3:30pm. Called again on Tuesday after work to confirm the bits and pieces of information given after so many failed attempts and to make arrangements to send documents electronically for the staff to say "Oh let me transfer you to VPN". Of Course no answer! I WOULD NOT recommend this place to do business with if you need to donate a vehicle. I'm going to call Newark to see if I have better luck with them.

It was great until someone who was probably smoking managed to accidentally set a car ablaze! These folks try there best to minimize the risk of fire by removing all gas TV tanks as well as other flammable liquids and materials. Its not only because they want a safe working environment but also because guards like such are mandated to by law. Realistically they can't remove every last drop as there are often lines and fuel injectors still with minimal amounts of gas. Multiply these small amounts by the sheer number of cars in one place and you have yourself a place that can get ..Lit!!
