Pretty good visit this time. LKQ as a whole is not on my favorite list every since they've gotten rid of their rewards program (literally overnight) and increased their prices across the board at all locations >:-《 Lines were long here, but typical at this location. If you see something you want here don't wait too long because vehicles are rotated out sooner than typical due to it being in the L.A. area. They had 4 lines open but took 20 minutes check out. Don't forget to get the stock number or they won't let you check out now. You can find it online though, but you have to look at the vehicle on that specific location's site.

Great place if you know what you need and are prepared with your tools. Staff now wants you to write down the stock number of vehicle you took parts out from. That should be their job, not the customers. Of all the employees their socializing, milking the job, not helping out in registers. They should be out there walking the lots, noting what parts are sold already and what is still a available. Or just re upload new pictures. And also you pay an entry fee, and when you pay they show you paid the fee and they return it. Fraud at its best. You paid the fee at the entrance not at the register.

I had a less than a pleasurable experience with the cashier person today.. He snookered me out of the extra insurance fee when I told him I did not want it before I handed him my $100 bill. He told me he will not not refund my insurance fee cash payment, that I would need to return in 24 hours to request a refund from my cash payment. He said I never requested not to include any extra insurance fee! NOT TRUE!He was very mean and nasty, even when the manager requested a refund on my behalf, he refused. It was a rather distressing experience. Snookered me out of $29 knowing I won't be back within 3 days..... buyers beware!

They try to force to buy warranty on the parts. Even after you show them the website that states you can refuse the warranty. They tell you that "you must buy it and go back the next day to cancel. " better to buy the parts of the internet now. 😒

Don’t bother calling asking any questions because there not helpful. Prices have steadily increased and in reality they can charge whatever they want. Fact of the matter it is what it is … A junk yard. If your internet savvy it’s best to go online and find what your looking for unless it’s a engine or body parts that isn’t going to cost and arm and leg to ship. Smaller items I’ve found to be better on ebay, Craigslist, offer up, Amazon etc…

This place is really clean for a pick a part but with that come higher prices and sometimes buying new/used online makes more sense. A piece of plastic molding is $15 and wiring with switches can be well over $40. Definately more expensive than the ones down in Orange County that I've visited.still found parts I needed at both but left behind some stuff I could have used if prices were more reasonable.

Beware: they charge you the warranty without telling you. Their warranty sign even says it's optional! It mentions nowhere that you have to tell them you don't want the warranty. They refused me the refund and told me I had to come back the next day. What a scam.

On March 18, 2022, I arrived at LKQ in Wilmington. This is the most Unorganized place and very much discriminatory people who are employed at the location, if you are an Africa American decent or ethnicity, I recommend you do not support a company/organization that’s allow discrimination not only based of clothes appearance but also discriminatory about skin color, the security stated he had to search my items as an African American male and the only person having their items checked out of plenty Latino males. You will be harassed for your items to be searched, I was harassed even without any explanation, I asked numerous times to the security “why are my things needing to be searched?” The security guard response “just because” no other explanations, no decent reasoning so there for I was harassed. I had no items from there location being purchased and neither on my personnel. My personal items were looked through and they found no items that belonged to them, harassment at its fullest form. Prior to me making my exit there were a few Latino males that’s weren’t searched or told their personal belongings must be checked. They don’t do a brief check on your items before you walk in only after you are exiting the location, they didn’t have any probable cause of me stealing or anything illegal so I would suggest you not to purchase or support a very visible discriminatory actions being made by staff of the company. Once again said being told my things have to be searched implying that I’ve stolen items and found nothing at the end is embarrassing and disgusting of actions.I won’t be supporting anything of this business. Especially after this experience it’s already bad enough that they treat people of African American decent with a less welcoming demeanor and you can see the change in attitude from how they talk to a Latino with energy and positive attitude but when it’s an African American they’re whole attitude changes and they become very antisocial as if they are in a life threatening position, or just simply don’t want to associate with an African American customer.

The place is a total mess, there is only 3 portable sink to wash your hands and 4 portable bathroom and they are to cheap that they dont buy soap to wash your hand knowing that we are in a pandemic time. The prices are ridiculously higher almost the price of a new part not all the peaces but almost all are over priced even that you have to pull the part yourself but it feels like u are paying for both ( part and labor) at the same time. After the pandemic hit us over a year ago they raised the prices a lot.if I will have more choices in LA I wouldn't choose this company at all. They are making a ton of money with those over priced parts. For a little used hose I paid $20 and new cost almost $30 included taxes, I did paid that because I drove 20 miles to get my parts and i didn't have any choice just to buy it.
